He's had some bad luck with injuries, at least if it's only 6 weeks they won't send him back and terminate the loan

That's bullshit. He hasn't suffered an ACL injury at all. 

It's a thigh injury, out for 6 weeks.

Yeah that's not a credible account at all. If he'd done his ACL, there's no way he would stay at Stoke for treatment cos he won't play again this season and there's zero chance they would exercise the option to buy in the summer.
