Possibly my second favourite shirt after the Sash. I like all 3 shirts though if those are true. Could be an expensive Christmas for my missus. Looks more like this one, but with a collar 2

I think it is better to have blue shorts with an away kit. 5

As others have said shoulder detail doesn’t look right , also the red part in between the collar kinda sucks and they seem to have left off the couple of stripes on the collar which gave it kind of a iconic look ? These little things take it away from the original

Some of us like the idea as it reverts back to the traditional colours we had with dark blue shorts for just about the first half of our existence. We only changed to black as they had a problem with the blue shorts fading too quickly in the fifties. It would also make us unique in this country for a team in (mostly) red and white stripes. With quarters 1890-94, halves 1894-96 and then (for over half a century) stripes 1896-1950s. 4

I agree, there are others with r&w stripes and either black or white shorts, it would be good to be unique. The same way Atletico Madrid in their r&w with lighter blue shorts are instantly recognisable. The colour blue in those images is almost identical to the blue P&O use in their corporate logo as well, which would be a nice tie in. 3

Red and White shirts with dark blue/navy shorts/socks/detailing is what i want to see us in for a bit. We just look like sunderland/stoke/brentford/sheffield the rest of the time. We have a legitimate basis to use a unique colouring in the football league. Edited yesterday at 07:49 by Saint86 7

Yes, it was an earlier 59-year period in our history, but (despite a possible next year in candy stripes again) we are becoming increasingly indistinguishable from Brentford, Sunderland, Sheffield United and Stoke who we are competing with every year to some extent. A return to dark navy shorts would set us apart and open up a lot more strip possibilities for the future. 1

We will probably only get them (navy shorts) for the 150th anniversary. 2

Russell Martin being best mates with the players, the kits themselves, the sponsor, the unveiling of Downes, the interviewing of random people there. So bad. Just get a well design set of kits up in the shop in good time for sales and thankfully I can't see Will Still being a hugging and fawning over his 'mates' type. 1
Nolan Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago If I were an executive at Southampton FC, and P & O was a new sponsor, I would launch the new Kit on the Arcadia on its 27/6 visit to Southampton. (this is pure speculation) 1

Kenilworthy59 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Have done research in my programme collection. In 1976/77 the badge appeared mainly embroidered directly on the shirt. But in the home 3rd round cup tie against Chelsea it appeared on a plain black circle for some players - notably Channon - but not all of them. That mix continued for the rest of the season. I guess it might be just the one shirt that Channon wore, as unlike now they didn't get a new shirt for every game. From the start of the next season 1977/78, we had the new circular badge with the FA Cup winners legend. As I recall, the replica kits didn't originally come with a badge. Certainly the away shirt I had for Christmas 1977 came with a separate badge that my mum had to stitch on. But by the end of the promotion season the replica shirts did have a vinyl version of the circular badge - I suspect that didn't withstand many washes before it cracked. 1

Arcadia as its the least frequent visitor this season, whereas the others have regular turnarounds against the dock. but yes, it could realistically be any ship in their fleet.
