Sadly, I didn't see anything acerbic, or tongue-in-cheek in his remarks, especially as they were aimed at someone whose first language is not English. They just came across as nasty and unnecessary.

I think that at the point that you're telling other posters what they can and can't post, then you're failing at internet. Of course, suggesting that people shouldn't post about what other posters should post also completes my own personal failure.

Interesting that Spertsyan actually has a fair bit of loyalty/connection to his club and hasn’t just jumped ship at the first opportunity 

I know we would be different as he hasn’t grown up with us, but if it works out may actually get to keep him for more than a year?

To summarise whats going on at the moment then, to get us back onto the transfers path:

Incomings:

Rumour on the Ugly Inside from someone who has previously shared news and been right, suggesting we are close to finalising 3 loan signings, absolutely no leaks at all on who they might be but a right back has been mentioned.

Will Still has alluded to a new keeper coming in, most likely 2nd/3rd choice to challenge Bazunu rather than immediately replace.

Eduard Spertysan - sounds like the player is keen, the club are deciding if they are happy to sell for the price we have reportedly offered of €12.5m. Lots of ‘talk’ and likely waiting to see if anyone bigger comes along before final decisions are made.

Outgoings:

Charlie Taylor -Boro have been linked with Charlie but Will keeps praising how good a guy he is. Norwich have also been linked earlier this window.

Aribo - has interest from Villarreal and Besiktas and is separated from the first team

Fernandes - WHU bidding £30m for Fernandes’ hair. Surely it will need to be closer to £50m? Usual fluff that Prowsey might be part of the deal, we cannot pay his wages in the champ. 

Dibling - Everton have Grealish coming in on loan and look to be pursuing Fatawu from Leicester after we couldn’t agree a fee. Spurs going for Savinho and Eze, I’m not sure who’s paying our valuation? Is Newcastle still a possibility?

Edozie - Imminently deciding on either Strasbourg or Club Brugge. Although only Strasbourg have met our fee to date.  

Smallbone - we think he might be off as not suited to Still but tonight might give us an indication, unless he is still feeling an injury.

On Aribo, needs to give his agent a shove around getting Villarreal to stump some cash (won’t be that much as less than 12 months left). Beskitas will be stalling to get him on a free next summer.

Edozie - Strasbourg is the move and have had bid accepted. Bruges aren’t in the picture until they have. Could play a role if turns down Strasbourg but like Aribo him and his agent need to hurry up if he’s going. They make conveyancing solicitors look rapid! He’s lost a season last year to niggling injuries, in his shoes I’d sign for Strasbourg and hit the ground running.

Smallbone - club will want to sell rather than loan with less than 12 months left. I agree that not a Will Still central midfield player. Can’t see the fee being higher than £4m, but for a mid-lower Champ club who play either 4-5-1 or three in the middle, he’d be a good signing. 

JWP as part ex for MF is a non-starter unless WH will pay at least £75k p/w of his wages plus Potter likes JWP.

Belmadi is a good comparison and agree, does look like he plays centrally most of the time.  Love those through balls he plays with just the right weight to them - should be ideal for someone like Archer (or Downs).

TBF Archer is mostly quite good when he gets a chance.  We haven't created much in the way of chances for him though and he's one of those that doesn't really offer anything if he's not scoring. 

I'd agree with you if I'd said Armstrong, but I didn't.

A quick Google has him linked to Samsunspor, Trabonszpor, Besiktas and Goztepe...and today talk of wanting a move to Saudi.

Saudi good for all if there are interested parties but there’s the rub.

Only Beskitas could get close in that list to matching let alone exceeding what he is on here even with the relegation clause, hence his agent dreaming about Saudi. If there’s interest there for Joe, great. Was a link to Leipzig but can’t see that.

Clearly not in Still’s plans. He’s an ok player but nothing more. Doesn’t want to be at the club. Move on please.
