We've had this conversation about 8 times during this window. I'll repeat what I said last time, it's not for me to suggest names that's what the club have a scouting department for.

OK, but have you ever considered that there simply isn't anyone available that is suitable?

It's an open forum, anyone else got any thoughts on a possibly striker on loan?

Could we hijack the Isak deal?

If we don't then it signals a lack of ambition IMO.

Donnarumma has also been there for us all window, but nope, we sit there with our hands in our pockets. Absolute shambles.

Poor of our scouting team to miss him.

What happened to UEFAs carbon neutral promises?

It's quite interesting to get the Christian Purslows perspective on sky sports news. He mixes football with finances, quite interesting

TBH I'm not sure there's many championship clubs that have great strikers.  Sargeant stands out at this level but that's about it - the rest all have a few question marks over them.  Seems to me that since teams started adopting a lone striker with supporting wide men over a two man partnership that the number of goals scored by the lone striker has dropped off fairly dramatically and the goals are shared around a bit more.

Bit of a risk as if he turns out to be like our other strikers, we'll be stuck with him when we get back to the PL:lol:

Anyone realistic poses at least as much risk as our current forwards.

AA is proven at this level and I back him to come good again if called on. Cam is still young but experienced at this level and with good serivce has shown he can finish. Stewart needs a run of games but I don't know that we can afford him that. And Downs has high potential but again will struggle for consistent game time.

I will say on Downs, Spors has helped craft this team with these signings. Perhaps he feels we will see the best from him in this setup.

Just thinking the same, interesting he said PSR is perfect for clubs like Liverpool but not most of the others and now people are starting to question the fairness of it. It was always going to be obvious that this was the case but for a while some people were fooled into thinking it was going to help the smaller clubs.

I notice Matt O’Reilly is off to Marseille on loan. I always had an idea he’d move this window. Shame we cannot afford him ( nor would he drop a league and muss CL football!) but great player and I guess we have Azaz in that kind of role now- though he can play false #9 ( like he did v us in preseason). Think there were some scoffing when I mentioned his name before but my hunch he was moving was correct.

I’ve never understood why deal sheets are allowed. Surely if you’re unprepared or leave it too late that’s on you?

Why should anyone be granted an additional hour to get stuff signed off.

Everyone knows for months when the deadline is 😂

Chalk another one up to Cortese, he was against it from the start.

the window SLAMS SHUT at 7, expect it doesn't because loads of clubs submit a deal sheet and complete deals after. So the window is still ajar at 7pm and SLAMS SHUT when it suits everyone

I’m aware - it’s wrong 😂

A deadline is a deadline for a reason lols

What has spoiled deadlines day for me is Sky’s inconsistent blurring of number plates. Did it for Isak but not Wissa.

We badly need a goalkeeper

Sadly that ship sailed when we decided, flabbergasting to me, that all we needed was a non-competitive third choice backup.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but the Belgian window remains open for another week if Edozie doesn't head out today

I couldn't see him dropping down to the championship, but it's getting late in the window so maybe his options are limited. We just have too many bodies to bring another in though.

People said it would be a Long-shot to get a 'keeper in, and SR got a bit confused.

I hope somone told him his plane was from Munich and not Stuttgart as suggested 😂

That's because it's over 100 miles to Munich and close to Stuttgart. Corporate jets do pick ups at the most convenient place although based in Munich.

Good point.

I've always wondered how a transfer window can exist whilst meeting current employment laws. Surely denying a player the opportunity to move jobs during a period of time goes against freedom of movement or does it different for `fixed period contracts'?

Been hearing good things about this lad. Tearing it up in Argentina. 1 goal and 1 assist in last 6 matches which when you think about is better than Dibling. Has experience of the English league and could probably be persuaded to come if we stuck down £20m+.

Loan with obligation to buy if we get promoted would probably do it. However I don't see us bringing in another striker now anyway, this is just wishful thinking.

I've not clicked the link, but let me guess, his name is Carrillo?
