Get Sundays game out the way and this season officially done, then Monday/Tuesday announce Still and gets the whole summer to plan and work on building for next season. Well timed and a good sign. Rather this than lose a few weeks waiting on Rohl that is clearly holding out for a top level job

Would have loved to have had him at Saints as “our cunt”. Would have saved us a ton of goals conceded to him, too.

 

… though somehow we’d have probably turned him into a non goal scoring striker.

High performance podcast showed him to be a very honest, down to earth, humble yet ambitious coach. Very interesting journey so far and the tactical flexibility is going to be refreshing. He has dealt with players being sold left right and centre and also took on a top flight team with no management experience only to set their club record undefeated run immediately. 

As other posters have suggested, element of risk with any appointment but this looks like a guy with a track record over the last few years of getting more than the sum of his team’s parts. He’s highly rated by the France football expert and that in itself is encouraging.

Getting this done before the season has even finished should assist the massive rebuild at hand. Let’s see what the squad looks like in September. I look forward to conceding a lot less goals, if his Ligue 1 defensive record continues.

Bullshit. You will find I posted the tweet first  so people could see the source of what he was saying because he didn't, he then edited his post to include it. I was being helpful, something you are not.

I have watched that High Performance podcast too, if anyone has 1hr 30 to kill (maybe watch this, instead of the 90mins tomorrow).

If what you saying is that the first post in some way has distorted things after the event, then why is it something you do, and get caught at, so frequently?

I wasn't "scooped". I saw that he had described what the Telegraph journalist has said, but he hadn't included the post itself. So to be helpful to others on the forum I linked to the source. I was adding to what was already there for the benefit of the forum. Perhaps you could try it?

I’d have preferred Rohl but there we are. It’s a better appointment then Jones at least. 

Pointless whoever comes in with the current mob playing for us. Fingers crossed he gets to work quickly on that front.

Yeah, that's what you say every time you post the same information, but need to be seen as first. So precious.

Don't worry about going to a League 2 forum for posters past their prime. You can look back at all the good posts...well, perhaps not...but look back at your many years here, and know that your new home will treat you in exactly the way you deserve.

The first media available says there’s agreement between lens and saints. That’s not the same as between Still and Saints.

It’s then been upgraded to Still has signed with saints ~ by Romano on X I think - 3 year deal - though this may be a preemptive extrapolation of the first post as there’s no ££ mentioned. 
 

Wait til Saints announce it to be sure basically.

It was reported at the start of the week that Still and Saints had an agreement on his personal terms but the compensation negotiations had to be sorted between the clubs

We were the ones that pulled out of the deal. We decided that Japanese International ‘Tadanari Lee’ would be a better bet, both on the pitch and commercially.

Looks stupid now, but I guess made sense at the time. Don’t think anyone saw Vardy working out quite as well as he did.

Glad we've got this done early and a backroom team in place so we, at least, have a chance over the summer.

Good to see so many posters got there first to share the news.
