I dont like 'i told you so' posts, but when he was appointed back in July/August I was saying it was a stupid appointment. He had no relevent experience, 8th in a poor French league FFS ? Idiotic.

Just hope we appoint someone with experience and a record of winning.

Maybe we could appoint the manager that currently sits 8th in Ligue 1. The mighty Liam Rosenior.

We haven't done the Jones/Juric stage yet. It's clearly going to be an actual manager, we just don't know who.

I said it before, i really wanted Will to succeed however after yesterday the board to act. We have one of the best squads in the division. Wish him all the best. Just hoping the board go and appoint a manager with vast experience.

The players haven’t been playing for the last 4 or 5 managers.

Most of the players didn't play for the last 4 or 5 managers, not many even played for the last one. So this is nonsense.

A case of Peter Principle?

No celebrations from me. Decent bloke put in a position that is currently beyond him. Suspect he'll do ok in the long run but this was a case of wrong place, wrong time.

Now the trouble is those doing the hiring of yet another manager are the same clowns who've failed serially already. That's worrying. And as for the players, just hope they're having a good long look at themselves.

Surely Spors is not in a position to gamble again on someone completely untried, would be career suicide.

You would hope, but this is Sport Republic

What about a former player - who was part of a solid team in solid times. Defender/DM maybe? Someone who would bleed for the club. If nothing else to get this squad of powder puffs with a bit of steel in them….

Terry Hurlock?

So they have acted reasonably quickly, now the 2nd part a new manager quickly and one with experience at this level or higher. Let’s see what they come up with this time. I’m not that confident, but they have acted quickly.

Not entirely his fault of course but it couldn’t carry on. No experiments, no gambles please. A manager with proven Championship pedigree please. Gary O’Neil or Liam Rosenior.

All in place for a scrappy draw at QPR and a home win against the worst team in the league and they give him the permanent job.

Fuck's sake. I applied for a Greg's franchise near Staplewood before I read the full post.

The clear out suggests they are preparing to bring someone in with their own team (and suggests they have someone in mind).

Could this be the return of Ralph?

Ralph and Struber know each other, that's why the former was at the BC match. That's it, there's nothing else to this story, he isn't coming back.

Take it with a large pinch of salt, but the amount of combined compensation we may have paid Ralph and all other managers since could be between £23m - £34m.

I think Gary O’Neil might be taking on the Wolves job.

There's a number 9 and a new GK in there somewhere.

You just know that SR want to give it to Eckert. Former SR/Spors history, and they kept on Trollope and Lallana as coaches to bed him in, I can see this dude getting given the gig if we actually pick up points at Loftus and against the utterly turgid Wendys.

Like S-clarke said, I think he's a decent bloke but this was a case of wrong place, wrong time so it's a bit hard to know if he's actually a decent manager or not. I'm also not especially relieved or upbeat, more concerned about who comes next and can they turn around this shitshow.

As far as Still wasn't inspiring to us, I just get the feeling that our senior players never respected him, not having had a playing career and probably being younger than some of them - and so they just reverted to playing the way they're used to, ie Russ-ball. They've now seen off 4 managers in under a season and 1 of them is doing OK in Serie A so he can't be that bad.

Talking of Juric, I seem to remember an interview soon after he took over where he seemed genuinely amazed at the lack of fitness and overall physical level of the players. That's relevant because it points to the senior players being lazy and / or unprofessional. I can't help but worry that our problems will continue because the problem players are still in the building. I don't think it's a coincidence that when we beat Sheffield United away, our starting 12 only had Manning and AA of the 'old guard' in it.

Absolutely no idea if true, mate messaged me re RM coming. Surely not!!

He is one of the early runners. I cannot see it, but he really does not have anything to lose with the state we are in. He would need to change and not be so stubborn, but he cannot do this. I have no doubt he could do a job for us, but I think we need someone with more experience than him.

This is not the time to go with someone who hasn’t managed before. Let him go back to the U21’s I mean give it 6 months and he might be able to get it in the summer anyway lol

Hard to feel anything other than apathy to be honest. A Promising young manager that you can’t blame for taking the job, but was completely the wrong person for us at that particular time, particularly when we failed him by not investing properly in the spine of the team.

I said when we hired him I’ve been burnt too many times by these cunts to get excited, and it’ll be the same with whoever they bring in next. Some poor tosser nobody has heard of that will be another hipster appointment.

Of course he's not coming back. We're a fruit cake of a club, but not THAT much of a fruit cake.
