Did we really add quality on flanks, 10 etc.?

The new guys don't look any better than Armstrong or Aribo.

I think it's a bit premature to say that gi en someone like Scienza has had about half a game.

I don’t normally do computer games but I’m actually looking for to FIFA coming out so I can start a new Saints career and sell Bazunu, Hardwood-Bellis, Downes, Stephens, Stewart etc.

The way forward is the Willo Way. 🤣👍🏻

It sounds shit, but honestly it can’t be any worse than what there currently is!

I'm willing to give him a chance but he needs to find a win... somehow.

Forget the Liverpool game but Middlesbrough might not be a bad game for us. They'll come here as favourites, maybe we can sit back and try and hit them on the counter, let them have the ball.

After that shitshow, if I were Dragan, I might be seeing if i still had Danny Rohl’s phone number this evening.

I don’t get the fascination with Rohl.

Counter attacks don't work when it takes us 90 seconds to get the ball into their area having passed it backward nine times first.

I can’t see how Still”s plan is any different from Howard Wilkinson era 4-2-4.

in which case you need to keep it simple, have our least bad big CF ( Stewart) with AA alongside, the two “ best” wingers, the two toughest CMs, and let the back four concentrate on defending, supposing that they are up to the task, which is dubious at this stage.

I see nothing at all that suggests that WS can create a playoff team out of this expensive mess. Almost nothing looks any good.

Interestingly, Charlie Austin on a recent Undr the Cosh podcast said Rohl did all the tactics and the work in training under Ralph.

Ha, was gonna say just that. Piss around too much at the back. The defence has been awfull.

Think Quarshie got a raw deal when he played. Think there is a player in there.

Rangers look to have got a decent win today.

Can you imagine that Will Still could be sacked before Russell Martin at Rangers? Absolutely mind blowing 😂

Would love to slip in to a parallel universe and see if there would be any difference if his brothers followed him into the club.

Nothing that hasn’t been said already but seriously unimpressed with him. Felt like there was an imposter syndrome when I saw the training camp video in London.

He's had his chance as far as I'm concerned. I've seen absolutely nothing that makes me think that things will improve. He's had a decent amount to spend and in two games has made Azaz and Fellows unrecognisable from the players that they were last season.
We've won 1 league game and that was incredibly lucky! We look just as bad as we did last season, which is quite some achievement given that the manager and half the team has changed.

I have to admire Sheff Utd for acting quickly on Selles. Our lot will stick with the clown until March and then get rid of him with 6-8 games to go and put Adam Lallana in charge for the remainder of the season.

Sport Republic has ruined the club. Constantly trying to find the smart option when we all know that it's experienced managers who know how to get you out of this league. Cooper, Dyche, Rohl, Edwards, Cleverly, all have experience at this level but we couldn't do that. We had to go for the youngest managers in Europe with zero experience in English football.

All the talk about him being a great tactician and one of the best young coaches in Europe made me think, maybe they've got the right man this time. All I'm seeing is another Nathan Jones. A shit Russell Martin. Ivan Juric in disguise.

Will Still, just admit that you're out of your depth and fuck off! The last thing we need as fans is another ego who claims every week that he'll turn it around but never does.

Charlie hates Ralph, so I wouldn’t take that as gospel.

That's been well documented for a while. You could definitely see the difference once Rohl left.

I don't understand the reluctance in just paying for Rohl or any other experienced manager. We have money so why did we go to the bargain basement and get Still? Did we learn nothing from the Nathan Jones fiasco?

I have to admit I was quite excited and hopeful when we appointed Will Still. Here was a young manager with a totally different career path than the norm and somebody who appeared to have a refreshing new opinion on how the game should be played and who had done well at his previous clubs. So far it's been a complete disappointment. Along with others I do not have a clue what our formation is or what we are trying to do as there just seems no pattern or shape to our play. We seem to get worse rather than better and I'm not sure where he goes from here or whether he has the slightest clue how to improve the shit show we are watching.

We have been wide open all season. The manager does have a fucking clue how to do it in this league. He is a terrible tactician, who simply throws attackers on in the final 3rd of the game.

We are getting schooled by shithouse strikers, against teams that cost about the same as Azaz alone to assemble.

Fucking woeful manager, and we should know we have seen plenty.

the season can easily be salvaged if we make a change soonest and get someone who knows what they are doing.

Sorry you and your son didn’t have a better experience today - hardly encouraging for our younger fans - but at least the fans gave them both barrels. In the real world if you don’t put the work rate and organisation in, customers and suppliers let you know, so no reason the wallflowers should escape.

Agree, these guys are paid absolute fortunes and need to start earning their money.

There seem to be quite a few comments on here about Will Still buying the players.  That's not how football works in 2025 lads; a committee makes the decision and that'll include some tech nerds who've probably never stepped on grass with a ball nearby but they sure know data sets.  Not saying he's setting the world alight but the players at his disposal have been signed for him to work with, not that he has chosen the players himself to coach.

The thing is the Saints job this season was a fucking hard job, we needed a manager to walk in and make big decisions straight away. They needed to deal with the scar tissue from last season, get rid of the players not up for the fight and know straight away who to bring in to create a team capable of promotion. I don’t get how anyone would expect someone with Still’s limited experience to be able to do that.

I'm not sure there's even one player that is obviously a Will Still picked player.

Nathan Jones was there only for a few weeks but even he still managed to buy James Bree. I am not sure who Still's picks are, his Telfer/Williams, his Downes/Manning etc etc etc.

He's young so probably doesn't have one yet but I can't imagine he saw Downs and thought, yes, that's the player for me to make a difference.  Spors, go get him for me.  Spors, the Barclays IT guy and Rasmus will stay in good jobs whilst the front man gets the chop for not being able to get a decent tune out of the bin fire he's been given.

One being that we went to the top of the Premier League.
