Come on guys......it's JANDER not Janger. And AZAZ not Aziz. It's not difficult.

Prediction - 1-0 Hull.

Most of the posters on here haven't clocked that Welington only has 1 letter l in his name, so I don't rate your chances 😉

Why cant Saints do both? I'm just tired with the excuses.

Because we've been utterly shite for the past 4 years. Managed promotion with money and a bit of luck, but that turned out to be a false dawn.

Not excuses just perhaps managing expectations.

Having said all that I am expecting a win today.

Being on the southern fringe of the bad weather, it looks like Hull could avoid the worst of it, according to my weather radar app...

I’ve been up here since yesterday evening and it’s been pissing down since midday, going to be very wet underfoot , as it’s forecast to be heavy until the early hours of tomorrow.

The Prediction Wheel, reliable once all season. It is as pointless as Albert Gronbaek's signing. It is as accurate as Guido Carillo and as useless as Ali Dia. And yet here we are. Let's see if it predicts a huge win for Saints.

No. No it's doesn't. But that's possibly a good thing. It basks in the glory of getting the opening day result right against Wrexham and to hell with the rest of the season.

Personally I think we'll win. It won't be pretty,  it won't be comprehensive, but I think we'll have enough.

And then there's Liverpool...

Other than maybe Downs that's the team I would have played. Big opportunity for the lad I hope he takes it.

We need to give him the next 5 games starting to let him show what he can do, not drop him in and out every three games rotating with Archer and Stewart.

I don't think we can afford that if he's anonymous again. Like still says they have to prove they belong in the team.

Major surprise playing Downs up front.  I feel sorry for Archer.

Indeed. But perhaps there's a cunning plan afoot to find a striker and style-of-play option that actually match each other (I say that in hope, not in any knowledge that we'll actually be able to play to our striker's strengths!).

Depressing that Quarshie and Edwards can't even get on the bench ahead of Wood.

Anyhow, up the Saints.

Let's hope they don't go out and play like bellends again.

Wasn't Downes supposed to be ill? He's on the bench.

It gives the whole "long term illness" theory a bit of credibility.

We're not blessed with strength in numbers in CM. If he is ill, it does show where Sesay, Aribo and even potentially Edwards are in Still's priority list for CM.

Wood has been by far better than Edwards so far this season. I've got no problem with that.
