They're going to give it to Eckert aren't they 😔

Hopefully not. My worry is that if they were planning on o'neil(they will be put off by the chants) and end up appointing someone poorer. (Sturrock repeat)

I’d have given Still more time, he will seriously walk into a top job.

One day perhaps, but he's got a bit of work to do, and get experience under his belt before he does.  And to offset the car crash time he spent with us on his CV

Gary O’Neil must drive fast, he’s got from St Mary’s to the Sky Sports studios in time to present on the 5.30 game.

Turns out all we need to get a tune out of the squad is someone to silently stare into the players' eyes until it gets weird.

Is Marty Feldman available?

I can't see it myself, got points but nothing to show he's a genuine long term manager , tactics were still all over the place today

Never ceases to amaze me how the TV companies bring in failed and sacked managers to provide exper analysis and pass judgement/comment on the game. GON, Lego, Rooney ... to talk about tactics of Pep, Slot whoever.  Yet the saps lap it up.

Surely the simpletons at the club are bot going to give it TE, why on earth would they?

Cos he's won 2 games and apparently Spors likes him.

That wasn't staring. That was hypnosis. "You are capable footballers... you are capable footballers..."

Reckon he's got as good a chance as anyone else of getting it.

The past week should go someway to preventing GON at any rate.

Which would be ridiculous

Rodgers is the best manager in that list, by my god is he an insufferable twat.

could not agree more. Can't stand him. The channel 5 documentary revealed everything.

Back in here after the inconvenience of a match taking place. Back to proper business.

I have notice a hell of a lot of Saints supporters on social media saying ‘give him the job full time, he deserves it’.

Remarkable isn't. Just seen one glowing about TE, saying he is a 'little genius'..

What is wrong with these people?

I would have been ok with GON, but if my Northam family disagrees, I say no.

Yeah if it is already in the stands this is not good.

But everything is a little more negative in here. But it is like two different universes! 😂

A lot of supporters are idiots then.

Have we been linked with Rodgers? Have I missed something?

Earlier on in this thread, Pilchards suggested he was interviewed, interested and in the final 4.

He also reckoned O'Neil was in the directors box, so take it with a large pinch of salt ......

Not seen any reports anywhere in the media. This does not mean there is not anything going on, but they normally have wind of this kind of thing.

Can see Spors asking the Fans Advisory board to pick for him

Well they need to put the point across, or they are failing.

At the beginning of this week I was afraid that we were going to see Selles Mark2 appointed. A typical SR attempt at proving that they are so clever.

I am now not so sure that Tonda would be a disaster. Today I saw a team that was organised and played good football. For once there seemed to be a game plan and Azaz and Fellows started to show some of their pre Saints form. It was also nice to see an  academy player come on at half time.

I think that we could do better than Tonda. If nothing else his Baz obsession is a worry. If, however, SR decide to appoint him we may not have Selles mark 2 on our hands.

you do realise who we were playing? They still had as many shots as we did and the midfield was still wide open.

I doubt many teams last season would appoint a new manager on the back of beating us....

The interim manager needs to be replaced ASAP

I don't think you can judge him on two games. That's the exact thing we did with Selles and look how that ended up.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but Eckert was witnessed by several supporters leaving the stadium in his car this evening , windows right down, and a smug look on his face with “it’s gonna be me” by Nsync blaring out at full blast. Make of that what you will.
