Dusic Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Not good (M.Svensson) or bad (A. Jakobsson) but just most bang average? I will go for Mikael Nilsson. As the name suggests just a nothing player, despite 60+ Sweden caps.
Lighthouse Posted December 9 Posted December 9 I’m not sure we were watching the same Mikael Nilsson, if you thought he was not bad. The okayest Scandi who comes to mind is Peter Madsen. Came in on loan for half a season in the Championship, scored a couple of goals, left. The end.

I think he did modelling on the side.
Jeremy Corbyn Posted December 9 Posted December 9 What about that right back that looked like Jesus? He was very average
Dman Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Special shout out to Vegard Forren who is somehow still playing, aged 37, in the norwegain 3rd division. 3

Jack Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Moi Elyounoussi. Most unbelievably average footballer somehow getting starts every week in a decent side 1
Appy Posted December 9 Posted December 9 (edited) Trond Egil Soltvedt for me. Edited December 9 by Appy 6

SW5 SAINT Posted December 9 Posted December 9 The one Rupert Lowe bought in to replace Fitz Hall, after he was sold Palace in 2004. Described by Rupert as good business at the time. Saints went on to be relegated.
Stripey McStripe Shirt Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Mo Elyonousi (or however you spell his name).

bugenhagen Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Jo Tessem. Never really made the team much better or worse. Average to the level he was playing at. 1

He's scored 6 goals in his last 16 Champions League matches, including 2 against Man City, which isn't a bad scoring rate for a winger.

Crab Lungs Posted December 11 Posted December 11 (edited) Jakobsson was awful but Nilsson drove me up the wall. Bottled every challenge in his white boots. Edited December 11 by Crab Lungs 1
Colinjb Posted December 11 Posted December 11 Another nomination for Alex Ostlund. Beloved for looking like Jesus and going in goal at Newcastle.

If him and Vestergaard had a 100 yard ‘sprint’ race in their prime, I’m not 100% convinced Jakobsson would win, yet Jannik was glacially slow/couldn’t run.

saintstowin Posted December 11 Posted December 11 I haven't checked my Tessem stats but my recollection is that he brought energy and versatility to the team and played several positions from defence to attack. I liked him. 3
suewhistle Posted December 11 Posted December 11 How about late career Claus Lundekvam, particularly in the Portsmouth game?
saintstowin Posted December 11 Posted December 11 Anders Svensson had a decent time with us but I recall I always hoped he'd kick on a bit more in terms of attacking threat and running games - like he seemed to do for his country. His output was defensive midfielder but his style wasn't.

bpsaint Posted Saturday at 13:41 Posted Saturday at 13:41 Always thought Tessem was a decent number 10 under Hoddle. When Strachan decided to play him up front he looked a bit shite. 1
