He smirks doesn’t he. Quite irritating. I don’t like people he smirk especially short people. He’s like a little smirking dwarf. Horrible little shit sort of bloke who probably used to cycle up to people give them the wanker sign and cycle off. Smirkers are not great people.

I’ll never forget when he pushed the ref over whilst at West Ham

The stuff about Spors not knowing is nonsense.

I don't think it is that implausible.

The spying seems pretty low level operational. He wouldn't necessarily know about like he wouldn't necessarily know about next week's training drills.

Looks like a composite picture of every arsehole boss I’ve ever had the misfortune to work for.

I agree. His job is to get the staff and players in to fulfil the roles required.

Not to micro-manage them.

Are we still playing on Sunday?

If we are, we will be playing alongside Bolton and Stockport in the league 1 playoff…

Could be interesting - Hull v Saints v Bolton v Stockport.

Saturday was always our match day…

Only 1 of those ingredients has any place in a carbonara.

If we are being authentic then none of them do but sometimes guancale is hard to get hold of so pancetta is a reasonable sub! 😁

Without doubt with over half a century off supporting Saints this is our darkest hour and is far worse than the tumble down the leagues. If the appeal is unsucessful then i really fear for the club we all support. Don't anyone think players will want to stay faithful to Saints because they won't, they will be instructing agents even now to get the hell out and who can blame them, they don't want to be tainted by this shit show. What players would want to join us? certainly not many i suspect until the stigma fades. Then there are the fans, the lifeblood of the club who have been cheated despite the fantastic support they have shown this season. How much more can fans take before deciding enough is enough?

Right now i feel completely numb and am not entirely sure how i feel towards the club i have supported for over half a century!

This is not any darker than League 1 - 10points and being days away from going bust. If players jump ship, if we struggle, if we get relegated and go into admin... someone will always be interested in buying saints and we would rebuild as a club and come back. Look at the support at Wembley, at Preston away, at St Mary's vs Boro. We are unquestionably the best fanbase on the south coast, and that alone is worth a fair amount. That won't just disappear no matter how emotional (angry/sad etc) or tired people are of it right now. And ultimately, the punishment is so ridiculously OTT, that the worse our plight as a result, the more sympathy we'd gather from the footballing community in the years that followed. Everyone responsible will be long gone but the fans and club would still be here.

As for any ruling today. I'd expect the EFL to reject our appeal, delay the final, and maybe allow boro vs millwall as a one off match at a neutral venue. More money for them, legal cases removed bar Hull.

Playing devil's advocate, can anyone see a scenario where we get to play on Saturday, win, but get something like a -10 for next season in the Premier League - making it effectively a dead rubber season but saving the club's skin financially?

That would be a truly nightmarish scenario, I think I'd rather take our medicine in the Championship even if it's worse in the long term

I hear from a reliable source that P.Dawson has stormed the appeal hearing and ripped a fat dance routine.

A fan like P Dawson deserves to be back in the Premier League,  more tv coverage to pick up on his wonderfully choreographed pre-match dance moves

For what it's worth at this stage, what I've heard in the last 24 hours aligns with @stfrancisofbenali's comments here.

Spors, despite that Daily Fail report, is not innocent.

Balls, thanks for sharing, sadly a wipe out of the key decision makers will make this even worse.

Wife uses it all the time. It's the same as having the painters in.

Example usage:

'Sorry darling, not tonight, I've called in Lord Pannick'

If the timing is true that alone suggests it isn't being overturned. If they knew we were being reinstated, they wouldn't hold back the info and allow Boro tickets to continue being sold for the next 2+ hours.

Boro hired their expert football lawyer almost as soon as the spying was discovered. Our ineptitude at doing the same in a timely manner is really not a surprise any more. Too little too late.
