Apologies for the war and peace post chaps – bear with or scroll past.  For the last week I have been trying to provide a steer on here as to why I think this silly episode will be concluded with a fine (in the region of £200k) and / or a possible future points deduction (though if I were advising Saints I would appeal this).  Simply that talk of forfeit and bans opens a legal can of worms that is well beyond the remit and scope of both the EFL and / or Middlesbrough FC. Boro fans gonna be like Jehovah Witnesses predicting the end of the world. Now 12.30 has gone they'll be coming up with a new time.

They are basically clinging to anybody's word that aligns with what they want to hear, similar to when we were in administration and hoping/waiting for something positive. 

At some point you would think they'd wake up to the fact they are being fed bullshit.

Reminds me of the Paul Allen Takeover Saga from twenty years ago. It was always dickheads pretending to be ITK, secret private messages and something big happening on the 32nd of whatever.

Some of it has to be coming from our own lot on the wind-up, doing the same old shit to them... if Boro are so desperate to lap it up, why not?

I think I need new glasses. Instead of "spygate" I've been reading the title of this thread as, "Southgate".

I thought this was over 110 pages of Saints fans discussing Gareth Southgate as our new manager.

Hopefully someone on a Hull forum who's been told the final is definitely going ahead on Saturday as planned.

Their ticket sales are continuing as normal, as have ours today.

Didn’t the EFL say it would take place on or before tomorrow. 
 

Fairly sure the rumour of it starting Friday came from Boro fans.

I think Alfie House reported it starting on Friday, I don't think that is in doubt.

I feel pretty certain that by the back end of today - 4 or 5pm they will announce whatever they have decided I think.
