Apologies for the war and peace post chaps – bear with or scroll past.  For the last week I have been trying to provide a steer on here as to why I think this silly episode will be concluded with a fine (in the region of £200k) and / or a possible future points deduction (though if I were advising Saints I would appeal this).  Simply that talk of forfeit and bans opens a legal can of worms that is well beyond the remit and scope of both the EFL and / or Middlesbrough FC. Middlesborough fan should not only pray for the most severe sanction of expelling,  but also a retrospective effect of the sanction (which is usual); otherwise, it appears that Hull will get promoted without the play-off final.

Some of them really believe the only outcome will be our expulsion from the playoffs, at least!

It just seems so excessive, it does not follow any precedent nor does it align with A N Other team who knowingly cheating for at least an entire EFL season. I know different breaches of the rules, but it is a comparable given the sporting advantage was gained.
