spyinthesky Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Baz (Long) Bree Stephens Wood Manning (Roerslev) (Loan ???) (Quarshie) (Welington) Matsuki Bragg Aziz Ediozie (Fellows) (Williams) (Loan ???) (Robinson) Archer Stewart/Larin?? (Downes??) (Oyekunle) Manager Who Knows?? Above squad would struggle to compete in the Championship with a 4 point deduction unless Spors can come up with reasonable replacements plus some decent loans. Transfers Out Perez🥲 Downes £10m? Harwood Bellis £20m? Scienza £20m? Jander £20m? Charles £15m? Romeu Free Jelert ??? Fernandez £2m? part of deal with West Ham to take 10% of profit from player sale based on £60m transfer value Loans Out Ramsdale £15m?? Brerton Diaz £5m , or returned to us? Possibility of anything up to £100m revenue, less money owed to clubs to whom we owe money. Attendances Attendances very likely to be adversely affected by current disenchantment unless replacements seem to be suitable. Season ticket sales down to around 18,000 so average attendance at around 24,000 for an average season. I am thoroughly pissed off about news today but I will be back to renew my season ticket next season but have sympathy with those who choose not to renew. 1 1
pingpong Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Even with a pessimistic view on outgoings, we still have a very good chance of a very good season next year, that team looks decent (and missing fellows) and it's likely we would find another couple of gems. Let's be honest, this league is far more entertaining than the one above, so this is not particularly devastating news, it's only the money that we miss, but 2 yrs down is still in the fun zone. 4pts is no issue at all.@ Still a chance we play hull and lose too, and in that case we're in a similar situation anyway. 1
AlexLaw76 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Damion Downs and BBD leading the line With Baz as the gloves man going to be epic 3
SambaMaverick Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Stopped reading at "Baz" Fuck my life, honestly 1 5

Sheaf Saint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago My big concern (and I'm going to ask my nephew about this because he's an expert on football contracts) - is that some players might try and find a loophole to get their contracts cancelled because of the club's actions. Then we'll be well and truly fucked next season. 1

Disco Stu Posted 59 minutes ago Posted 59 minutes ago (edited) Bazunu won't be playing for this club again. GK will be the first position to sort out in the summer (feel like I've said that for the last 4+ years) Edited 58 minutes ago by Disco Stu

This is a good point and partly true, lack of promotion would see our better players leave but now we're in a different situation after cheating. Players may have gone in good faith after receiving good money for them but with a possibility they could stay if no bids came in as a we had a chance for automatics next season. Now we have a 4 point penalty and a reputation in tatters, players may actively want to leave us now. We'll see, I guess. I'm gutted because I'd love to have seen this side with a few good additions next season. Personally I think we go into next season still rebuilding the team... and that is never good for preparation when you need a quick start.

Baird of the land Posted 37 minutes ago Posted 37 minutes ago I highly doubt we’re going to sell our entire midfield.
Ex Lion Tamer Posted 30 minutes ago Posted 30 minutes ago Why is it that every summer we have these takes which assume we will sell all our best players and replace them with absolutely no one? 1

Depends how any legal action goes by the players to the club. I can't blame any of them for wanting out over the summer. 1 minute ago, Ex Lion Tamer said: Why is it that every summer we have these takes which assume we will sell all our best players and replace them with absolutely no one? Of course we'll sign players, but it depends on who even owns us. There's a lot to sort out with the ownership and management of the club before we can even think of signing players. Wish I could just sleep until September and see what state we're in then. Shambles.
spyinthesky Posted 23 minutes ago Author Posted 23 minutes ago Without knowing contractual details and how this shit show affects them, I can see players geeded up by their agents looking at some sort of recompense as they have been denied the opportunity to double their wages if the team had made it through to the Prem on Saturday. It will certainly be the case that those worthy of moving to Premiership clubs will be more than happy to entertain offers from other clubs and the Saints Board will be in no position to stand firm on valuations. This is a shit show that will have repercussions for many years to come. A lot of people have sniggered on the position that Leicester (and to a much lesser degree Sheffield Weds) have found themselves in. We may be able to avoid their plight but I can easily see us in a battle against the drop next season with the hope of mid table obscurity. Just to think our collective joy last Tuesday with optimism at the highest level for some time and look at us now........ gloom, doom and plenty of empty seats next season.

A couple will force their way out like they did last summer but club would be morons if they permitted a mass exodus of key players.

I can only assume loss of earnings (potential promotional wage rises etc). Athletic have already said they may take legal action so there's clearly some sort of reason to do so. They've busted a gut for nothing. Besides I wouldn't trust SR to get anything right at the moment.
