May well be up there was Downs....not quite but nuts all the same From what he's done so far, he's done nothing to convince us he's not just another Archer. He needs to show he can link up with Larin because Mubama is so far showing he's got the touch of an elephant on speed. Yes, a poor transfer window. Losing Charles and THB maybe couldn't be helped, but should be be loaning out Quarshie and Archer? 2

He says he doesn't know anything but it's a pretty random name to just come up with. Looks better than anything we've got other than Larin. Again, not sure he's a target man but at least he knows how to run at defences and take players on. Looks quite quick but probably lost a bit of pace though he's a lot younger than Vardy who'll be 40 in January. Could be worth a gamble. 1
UpweySaint Posted September 6 Posted September 6 If we’re throwing random names out there, anybody for some nostalgic Ziyech Watch?! Former Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech has parted ways with Wydad and the 33-year-old Moroccan has been linked with a move to Brazilian club Botafogo. (Goal)

Preston fans rated him and by all accounts did well there, but it's difficult to see where he fits in, in our 4-2-3-1 he doesnt start and it's really a like for like sub, i can only think he'd fit better coming on alongside Larin if we went to 2 strikers. 2
East Kent Saint Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Football has a long history of clubs buying successful players then playing them in a different set up contrary to their previous set up where they thrived . A high scoring centre forward who fed off his other forward suddenly becomes a solo target man and fails to score. Likewise the high scoring forward who feeds off through balls is bombarded with high crosses and is sold on as a failure. Etc . It's not really difficult to understand but clubs still get it wrong! 2

I hate to be the "signed him on FM" bloke but I did once or twice on FM Mobile 23 and he was ok, can play wider too. Maybe the club have finally looked at our forward line and see we need another body in. Could be a Larin-esque bit of business if it happens. I'm not holding my breath though.

saintant Posted September 7 Posted September 7 How about the great Monolo Gabbiadini - well, he's 5 years younger than Vardy 🙂 1

I wouldn't say no. Times are desperate as far as I'm concerned and he has at least been prolific in the UAE. I imagine he's looking for more of a retirement move though like the MLS. benjii Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Give Dobbin a break. He played a key part in the crucial second goal against Stoke and nearly scored when he came on at Lincoln. 14

You only have to look at page 7 onwards of the Azaz thread to see this forum writes off players if they haven't ripped up the league by now, while bedding into the team. 11

SNSUN Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Viking lost today and Falchener wasn't even in the starting line up. I wonder if we can revisit that in January but I guess it depends how Abbott does when called upon.

Just back from injury, so it was not clear before the match if he was ready to start, or if he was coming on from the bench. So in no way out of the team, just not 100% ready to start. Still possible they might consider selling him in January, but he might have played some good games in the CL by then, and therefore have a different price and class of clubs chasing him. Can’t remember where, but it was earlier in the summer when he was not included in the preseason. No idea how long he is out for or what sort of injury. Probably pretty far off being any sort of squad option this season. Just scored for the U21s Edited Saturday at 11:16 by Master Bates

Meant to be the next big thing. They rarely are though how many times have we seen a 15 or 16 year old kid hyped up and then get no where near the level expected. sounds like the dad causing issues though https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/40384708/?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=sunfootballfacebook&utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwZnRzaAUWcNRwZG9mBWZkaWQWUOezfFy0Ckcq9ubDpV6MBHiuji_X72V4dG4DYWVtAjExAHNydGMGYXBwX2lkCjY2Mjg1NjgzNzkAAR6cr_ayqWI6t24KAsePo0AiCWL4t8Ps5lb0N_EoarFHuvgJPnAIlOmzZEmf5A_aem_-kNAq6BUSGhGesj1BcC_3w Edited 4 hours ago by Turkish

Might be a case of a crap ex-footballer living vicariously through his talented son.
