Yep. Will Still’s tenure demonstrated that we missed a focal point up front. Getting Stewart back and then Larin in allowed the team play the way it should. This is like watching us with Armstrong or Tasmin up front on their own again.

Colchester are a well coached young side, definitely well organised and able to play to their strengths (which are good for league 2). Saints look poor without an effective CF, reckon we scored 1 or 2 this half with Larin and the balls that have been put in.

Saints fortunate to reach half time at 0-0. Nearly conceded yet again there.

So far there's nothing much to suggest Saints are candidates for automatic promotion. A pedestrian stroll to 7th or 8th is possible I suppose.

I wouldn't play BBD we havd already seen he cant play football at a decent level but looks OK at another club on loan, why not just loan him out.

A functioning midfield and a number nine that is a nuisance would make a big difference to us in the second half. Charles/Azaz/Larin for Fellows/Dobbin/BBD with Matsuki going wide right.

I think some saying BBD has been shit is a bit rich, if it were Larin you’d be saying he hasn’t received the right service.

I wouldn’t say anyone particularly stands out good or bad.

It’s just lack of match fitness and rustiness, it shows throughout.
