We will win, its time to shake off the jinxes of the past and move forward -We can'ty lose everytime we are on TV that certainly won't do when we are in the champions league now will it ;)

I remember us playing Leicester on the opening day of the season once on the TV, SKP scored a cracker ( I may have dreamed this though)

Derby (on TV)

Cardiff

Palace

Millwall (on TV)

Plymouth (on TV)

Leeds (on TV)

Two draws, a defeat and a don't know. Though compared to our usual opening day performances that's not really a bad record.

Yet another of our fixtures on the opening day is being televised. I really wish they'd give it a rest. That's three seasons in a row now, our first Championship fixture was televised (Wolves, 2005) too.

why should they give it a rest...? does not stop you from going..

Just how many games do we have to win on Sky before mongs stop monging on about the "Sky curse". It seems like every time we win a game on Sky people ignore it. Then after a few good results we get one defeat and it's "ooooh the sky curse again". Some of our fans are a bunch of druids.

There is no "first game of the season curse" either it's just a combination of tough away games and opponents being cagey and not wanting to loose. That and repeatedly awful pre-season preparation.

I just hope he can still walk to the stadium after another couple of hours in the pub.

It is not an odd comment.

I am quite frankly sick of kick-off times being moved. For all you know it could stop me going. If I want your opinion on my attendance at games, I'll be sure to ask, thanks.

You could also add the Wolves game the season prior to the one starting against Derby as that was also televised. Of the 7 seasons out of the Prem our first match has been shown 5 times by Sky.

FWIW i'm a bit of a traditionalist too, and hate when our Saturday kick offs get moved from 3pm.

Anyone who thinks we still have the "sky curse" is clueless.

It reminds me of all the people who bemoaned Lawro predicting a saints win (back in the prem days), and would say "well, we've got no chance now - we never win when Lawro predicts it". I recall somone once bothered to compile a league table based on all of Lawro's predictions throughout a season, and his final table was remarkably close to the actual one.

wont the cameras now see our new flag..?

All going well - and hopefully it'll mean the Liebherrs see the tribute in some form if they're not at the match :)

Even if anybody wants to carry on the silly 'Sky curse' trot, didn't we win our last televised game (Sheffield Wednesday at home)?
