Interesting, looks like he's definitely off then.

Being as Roma don't want to sell him to one of their rivals that must currently put us in a pretty good position.

Hop Nicola has told him that Southampton is on the doorstep from London, he could put a shift in at SMS and be up in the bright lights by early evening ready to wine and dine his other half.

Failing that he could always grab a kebab in Bedford place.

Seems he has decided he definitely wants to leave Roma. Would prefer Inter as it is in Italy but also London as he wants to please his girlfriend.

That could make Fulham the priority for him then but will they be able to afford the fee?

Not forgetting the fact that they would then have Berbatov, Taarabt and Osvaldo in the same team...

tbf to him, I can see why someone who plays his football in Rome might not fancy Southampton :) The eternal city or West Quay and easy access to the New Forest/IOW?

Toughie.

Living in London or half-way between means he gets to drive his new toy, (Red Ferrari is de rigueur for an Italian International) back and forth along the M3 until he loses his license or runs over his foot again. Much better than just a short drive in heavy traffic between Chilworth and Staplewood.

It's all a matter of dressing the Saints package to suit the target. If the club need further advice, I do freelance.

Heard this morning that Cortese and one of the medical staff flew to Italy on Sunday. The club secretary didn't travel with them. Make of that what you will.

That Cortese and one of the medical staff flew to Italy on their own and didnt take the club secretary with them.

Or

Cortese has taken one of the medical staff to Italy to teach them the italian way of removing leg casts.

Cruise companies list Southampton as "London (Southampton)" so all we have to do is bring him in on the Queen Mary or something and he'll think he's actually in London when he arrives.

Low cost airlines talk about London Stansted. Cambridge or Posh with a cheeky late bid?

Cortese is Italian, the italians are big into family get togethers, it is currently the holiday season and 45 deg C over there, so where would you rather be this chilly August morning, Staplewood or Brindisi. No more to it than that in my view. He won't be coming back with any new signings just a tweaked up tan ready for his TV appearances at the weekend.

NC can tell him that Southampton is actually located in South West London! Sorted ;).

Wasn't that Banega, not Osvaldo?

My latin isn't what it used to be but I think the electronic scoreboard above their heads is saying something about the Clemens 8 aside team inching home in a 6-5 win and gaining maximum points at the bridge. Towards the end its mentions that 4 of the opposition side were on the vodka and then theres something about saluting the MD's x-rated CV ...anyone pick up anything about Osvaldo in that?
