Must be hard to support a team of lefty, woke, Marxists who take the knee. I thought you would have boycotted the team like heroes Lawrence Fox and all those other Torres you love.

You are so vain, absolutely obsessed about being obsessed about.  I think  this makes 110% of my responses only to you as well. I think a summer school is required. Can I have a graphic to back up your thrilling response?

Let’s not point score on this one... anyone reading just a small sample of the threads on this board will know we have plenty of racist dickheads in our fanbase, same as every other team

True, but a big shame if the youth team of a club have been deaf to the situation.

It's a valid point that every club has idiots around, but these guys are not kids and they are meant to act professionally - and their views and mindsets are VERY clear.

No place for them in football, or society.

I'd say the same for players from any club spreading mad hate like that - sack em, today.

Because I'm not going on their actual website, so sharing the article from the first newspaper article that comes up.

The only outcome that was available and that could well be the end of their footballing careers before they've even started.

Don’t know if racist as such but another example of why Nigel Farage is a Neanderthal dinosaur https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/jul/29/rnli-donations-soar-in-response-to-farages-migrant-criticism

Good on Javid for making a sizeable donation to the RNLI

Perhaps Nige would be happier seeing piles of drowned bodies washing up on the Kent and Sussex beaches.

how many drowned migrant bodies were regularly washed up on the kent/sussex beaches, before the RNLI started to act as a taxi service?

Anyway,

Lets play a game called 'The Wheel of Racism'.

Contestants must 'spin the wheel' to see what is now racist...Here goes;

Aylan Kurdi, 3 years old. Perhaps you remember the picture. He washed up on a Turkish beach….. Perhaps if Turkey had the RNLI he may be alive today….

Compassion amongst some seems in short supply.

That was tragic. However, the family were safe in Turkey. They wanted to go to Canada where entry was refused, and there was some issue with the application form. They had no need to take that trip and they capsized a few mins from where they set off. Thus, any RNLI equivalent would have taken them to where they set sail from, not where they were heading.

The heart breaking photo of the lad shouldn't get in the way of the facts.

Theres no real way to present hard facts without sounding  a little heartless, but the fact is the population in the UK (mainly England) is officially around 70M, and has been growing steadily by around 0.5M per year since 2000, although it's undoubtedly higher than this. Net immigration stands at around 350,000 per year, to put in perspective the population of Southampton is currently around 250,000, and the population of Australia is around 25M. There is already a chronic housing shortage as well as huge strains on schools, hospitals etc, so the question should be not should we but can we keep taking on ever growing numbers of immigrants at this level. At what point does the system collapse, 80M, 100M, 150M people? People are risking their lives to get here and it's little wonder why. with the French navy happy to shunt dinghies into our waters then fuck off and leave it to the UK agencies to sort it out.

Yes we should take as many as we can. Immigration is a net contributor to our treasury. FACT. They pay more into our economy than take out. FACT.

That in turn pays for schools, hospitals, police officers etc.

Do not blame the person. Blame the people who spend your money on Royal yachts, garden bridges and fancy plane paint jobs.

My point was a concern at the unsustainable population growth in this country, not the economics of current immigration which I have to say is debatable at best. The "take as many as we can" approach does not work, this isn't the late 1940's when this country had a chronic labour shortage due to WW2 fatalities , and where are all these millions going to live ? The fact is we are running out of living space and despite the govt's "plans" to build more homes it's falling way short of whats needed year on year. House prices are already way beyond the reach of most people due to the demand with the only option to stay at home with the parents or rent, which means we've actually regressed to the Victorian era, the "haves" of the older generations or will beneficiaries, and the "have not's" and never will have.

Exactly. What the Labour politicians mostly miss. See Gordon Brown “bigoted woman” comment.
Judging everything on economic increases is bollocks. Mind some just want the price of their house to rise to make them fell rich.

It's been all too easy to lazily dismiss anyone with concerns about this as a racist or little Englander, mainly by people unaffected. Just because Oliver and Jemima had no trouble getting into the local village school doesn't mean there's not a big problem elsewhere. The rise of UKIP led of course to Cameron's sphincter collapsing and the "shock" Brexit vote, not such a shock if you choose to ignore the feelings of over half the country for decades (who must all be bigoted of course). The issue isn't skin colour or ethnicity or religion, it's purely a numbers problem.

The Tories have been in power 11 years. This not a “Labour party” issue.

Labour are more likely to be pushing your view of ‘takes as many as we can’ than Tories

Irrelevant if not in power. The tories are in charge of policy and have been for 11 years. Immigration issues are their fault.

Any issues with funding public services is purely down to them. Blaming immigration is a dog whistle distraction a la farage.
