Poor Watford. I suppose this was always going to happen to someone. I feel for their fans.

Watford tho, if he goes there he’ll be gone by the end of September, not the first and by no means the last. Even he would be crazy to go there .

He needs time to build his approach. He has to have a squad capable of doing at least the basics. He needs a bit of patience.

Not the best fit for any of that. A bit of #Watfordwatch next season, as I'm always curious to see how his system gets on.

Plenty of scar tissue to blame at Watford. They’ll be looking for a replacement by November

I would laugh but nobody deserves that. Poor old Leicester.

LOL.

It'll be good to see him back in management. I was bitterly disappointed when his run as Rangers manager came to such an abrupt halt. Imagine what he can do with the players Leicester have at their disposal.

Assuming his first signing will be Bazunu seeing as he rates him so highly and told the rest of us we knew nothing 🙂

I can imagine a number of their players are talking to their agents right now to talk about moves to Leicester....

"For fuck sake don't listen to any offers from Leicester now that twat is in charge"

Allegedly turned it down when they were in the Champ. Whoops.

Part of me is surprised he’d drop to L1 when his last job in England had him getting promoted to the PL and the other part of me thinks it makes some sense

It should be straightforward enough to get Leicester promoted and that will mean he gets a 12 month run up to playing in the Championship again, during which team he’ll have been able to teach his style of play etc against lower calibre opponents with much less in terms of resources.

Leicester is one of the biggest/best non-PL clubs in terms of stature and infrastructure, even while they’re down in L1

Really pleased for him. They should have went for him, before he got to Rangers.

I had read a couple of things offering some financial protection for clubs suffering back to back relegations. So, that should offer some respite.

The squad will go through a lot of changes. It's an opportunity to also bring in players to fit his style of play. Baz and Will should be two on his radar. But they need to keep a team capable of bouncing straight back too.

His career showed an upward trajectory from that level to our promotion. As always, it will be interesting to see how it works.

It’s a shame the interviewer didn’t ask him how Rohl has got a tune out of virtually the same squad. I’m sure his answer would have been hilarious

Started well but went to crap at the end of the season. Don’t rate him at all.

Not necessarily, a lot of the media are reporting that they’re in severe financial trouble, they’ve already mortgaged and spent their future parachute payments.

No Leicester are in the shite, deadwood on high wages and long contracts. There are in serious trouble and could struggle again. You cannot estimate the world of poo they are in.

Sure. But scar tissue something, something.

Agree with you, seems a bit like Pardew coming to us. He can give it a lot of spiel about ‘wouldn’t have gone to L1 but for Leicesters appeal, size of club …” bollocks to save face.

Just been reading, reports reckon Harry Winks is on anything up to £90k a week and still has a year on his deal. Reckons Lolceister are staring at a £70m shortfall following relegation. What an absolute snakes and ladders of a time.

And an incredible young man

And, and, and, and.

But LCFC are broke so it'll have to be a swap deal. How many of their squad = 1 Bazunu?

I’d take Fatawu in exchange for Bazunu and I would be prepared, in light of Leicester’s predicament to forego any money they would have to pay for Bazunu’s services that’s how I would play this situation!!

They still have enough good players at present (and good youth coming through) that if they are able to keep a decent number will out pass most teams in the division. Just depends how many times he asks them to pass continually across their own box until someone decides to press them and they concede (another) stupid goal and lose or draw games they’ve absolutely dominated…

Despite history and stuff, have to feel sorry for them. There's a couple of good posters on here from Leicester.

Apart from Vardy never really had a problem with them. They enjoyed their few years in the sun, who wouldn’t?

Roy Croppers a cunt though

Hmmmmm, it should’ve been straightforward enough to get Rangers in the top 2 and not get sacked 153 days into the job. Good luck Leicester!!

Their owners main income was derived from a duty free business in Thailand (I think) and it dried up during covid because their overseas customers stopped coming and never returned. Their training ground is built to elite levels and includes a 5 star hotel for players (so they won't pay so no income) plus a 9 hole golf course with all the upkeep that entails - it's turned into a white elephant and a millstone round their  neck in terms of finances.

They'll be training like beasts though 😉

I know he was shite for us in the PL, but he has enough bollocks and nous about him to get Leicester promoted, providing the financials allow him to put a decent team together.

Not sure he has as much nous as people give him credit for. With us he had a decent squad of players - he won't have that at Leicester. Same at Rangers, he had good players there but fucked it up. He's a very poor coach who talks a good game from what I've seen.

They'll finish top 2 and will play some very good football on the way

Just makes it more imperative for us to be promoted next season. Don't think we want to be facing a buoyant Martin led Leicester after they come up.

The man who turned a 3 horse race into a 4th placed finish, and prior to this has never achieved better then mid table.
The man who has not successfully set up a defence at any club he has been at.
The man who's tactics the opposition will know before they ever play them.

At a club who are experiencing a financial burden almost unheard of in the history of the English game.

Not happening.

If I was him and the choice was there, I'd have gone for the Watford job. Still in the Championship, you're guaranteed a nice little pay off within six months when they inevitably sack you and it's a basket case club, so he'd get another job after it anyway.

Leicester might work but a lot of pressure and a lot of scar tissue.

He won't get away with an equivalent result to the 0-4 kicking we got at Sunderland - Leicester fans won't be standing for that.
