What happens if he signs a contract with us before September? Are people still going to wish him an injury?

I'd be surprised if we offered him a contract again.

No doubt we were very surprised he went the didn't meet the option to renew route on a technicality due to our appeal.

If hes that mercenary we can be just as ruthless.

I know this is stating the obvious but unless he has a blinding WC to my mind it's difficult to see who will take a chance on him given his track record of injuries.

What happens if over the summer he saves four children and a kitten from a burning building?

Gone from buzzing about him going to the WC to wanting him to pull a hamstring in the first 10mins of the opener. Weird position to be in.

Easily solved by being better than wanting players to get injured?

You can add, especially players who have done their best for us, whether or not that's worked out.

I know you're not the first to mention it, kitch, so not singling that post out in particular. But I thought that would be something we should all be well above.

That Winchester chat with RM. Two year deal at Leicester then nobody has to have the prem discussion. Theory..

Very much doubt he has walked out on us for a two year contract in League One.

This is a strange one for me. He was offered a new deal I think that has been made clear by the club that we wanted him to stay, so for me it will either be a premier league team or a Scottish Premiership side he would be looking to go to. Surely he would not turn us down if there was not anything in the pipeline? Maybe just maybe there could still be a u turn, but we need to plan on buying a new striker.

"Teams race for signature of World Cup Winner, Stewart." 🙂

I just wish Stewart all the best. I think he's too risky for us and I think it's the right move. As others have said, I think he'll end up at Hearts. Shankland was earning more than Stewart so they can afford him

This. We offered and we can only presume he has rejected it and we have said goodbye as we released him. I cannot see us trying again, because we need players who want to play for us.

Are you saying then that we may still be in talks with Ross's representatives over a new contract? I want Ross to stay.

No, not saying that at all. I seriously doubt anything is happening while Stewart is in the US.
