CampionSaint Posted October 2 Posted October 2 (edited) It's strange that arguably Wood and Charles have been our stand out performers so far this season but neither got a chance in a very poor side last year. Edited October 2 by CampionSaint

Charles has benefited from a full season at this level last year. He'd probably be less than half the player he is now if he went through that shit show. I don't think it's a coincidence at all that our best performers are all players who weren't involved last season. 5

AlexLaw76 Posted Saturday at 20:37 Posted Saturday at 20:37 Don't blame him, then again, he should not do it. In a round about way, at least there was a reaction there end not just telling the camera that we need to be better 8 2
Turkish Posted Saturday at 20:38 Posted Saturday at 20:38 I don’t mind that to be honest at least it shows a bit of bollocks and fight not the pusies we’ve got and their we’ve got to be better then repeat the same crap every week 8 3
SambaMaverick Posted Saturday at 20:39 Posted Saturday at 20:39 Hopefully just practicing for when he gets amongst it in the dressing room with the rest of the jessies Not that bothered by it, me

Convict Colony Posted Saturday at 20:47 Posted Saturday at 20:47 Fans swear at Nathan Wood 1200 times in a match, he tells 1 fan to fuck off, fair play to him. Weak as piss headline 12 2

Seemed to be aimed at someone rather than a section of the crowd. THB was worse. He stormed off down the tunnel as quickly as he possibly could. Absolute bottler that guy. 2
Wade Garrett Posted Saturday at 20:51 Posted Saturday at 20:51 What’s his problem? We’ve lost 3 on the bounce. What does he expect a load of noddies to clap him off. 3 1
Sir Ralph Posted Saturday at 20:54 Posted Saturday at 20:54 He’s part of a time that in history has the least wins over 50 games. I would be hanging my head in shame not having a go at fans 3

The point I’m trying to make is I’d rather that, which at least shows a bit of anger and reaction than some “we’ve got to do better” bullshit we’ve had the last few weeks should he have done it, no of course not does he and the rest of the them deserve it? Fucking right they do, and I was one of those singing you’re not fit to wear the shirt and giving wanker signs to them at Blackburn last week when they came over and you’re right at another club the fans would have turned much earlier but - and the point here is, it was a reaction which it at least shows aome passion and spirt not a scripted poor me, we’ve got to try harder PR stunt 2

Even subconsciously some of you give the players a pass. If you’ve paid £700 for a season ticket and watch this shit week after week after fkin week it’s no wonder they get abuse. He’s allegedly a professional and as such should be ignoring it or accepting it and just trot off the pitch, the last thing he should do is react. I can’t believe the “oh well at least he’s showing some balls” statements. Bullshit !! 2

Where we gave him dogs abuse at 3-0, 4-0 down and he reacted...... You saw him wilt and realise his error once that cries of 'Yayy' rang out in reaction to his ranting. That is human and pure emotion. A pro who was up against it, was getting it terribly all around and reacted..... then fronted it. Here we have a self entitled idiot lashing out. Seeing emotion? Great. But, like that? What a c*nt. And, most tellingly probably hinting at the dreadful mentality in the side that is causing our malaise. 'Who are they to criticise us?' Dusic Posted yesterday at 00:41 Posted yesterday at 00:41 Feel more. Show some pride. Show you care. But only when you are told to. Absolute nonsense the reaction to his pitch exit today and fair play to him for at least showing something, especially as has been our best defender this season. Imagine in years gone by if a player had been slagged for biting back at fans? Its ridiculous and inconsequential. 1
LoyalSaintSO50 Posted yesterday at 00:51 Posted yesterday at 00:51 If he could trap a ball at Bristol city away, useless two bob mug, he only looks half decent cos the other four are even worse: don’t give it large now you wanker
ant Posted yesterday at 00:57 Posted yesterday at 00:57 One of the better performers this season, and to be honest I don't mind seeing a player give a bit back. We were justified in how we reacted to today's performance, and it's more authentic for him to react like that than to meekly clap as he walks off the pitch. Feels fairly similar to Boruc lobbing that bottle of water into the Chapel. In the sense of not being the ideal reaction, but an understandable level of humanity. 2
Osvaldorama Posted yesterday at 00:58 Posted yesterday at 00:58 Shouldn’t play for us again now. Nowhere near good enough to justify giving it back to the crowd. Like most of the rest of the squad he has zero credit in the bank to act like that. You lose every week, of course you’ll get stick. Not fit to wear the shirt. Bell end. 3
Osvaldorama Posted yesterday at 01:03 Posted yesterday at 01:03 (edited) Shouldn’t play for us again, in my opinion Can’t think of another time where a player has kicked off at the home fans. Granit Xhaka at Arsenal is the only one that comes close.. Wood has nowhere near enough credit to justify this ego. You lose every fucking week you twat. Fuck off and never wear our badge again edit: apologies for double post, internet glitched out Edited 14 hours ago by Osvaldorama 1
LoyalSaintSO50 Posted yesterday at 01:08 Posted yesterday at 01:08 I don’t know who the cart horse entitled prick was giving it to but if he’d have had a decent touch at Bristol City away he wouldn’t need to be giving it Billy big bollox and having a pop at a fan. To be honest he got nowhere the first 11 when we were half decent. Now he thinks he’s fking beresi. He can fuck off with the rest of em
St. Ciervo Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I have considered Woods a bright spot this year of dim. But honestly, coming at fans when the team was shambolic, he should fuck off and die somewhere in Wales. Bye.
LGTL Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Nah I’m not having this. The cheeky prick should think himself lucky it’s taken this long for us to finally give them both barrels. You’re Nathan Wood mate, we’ve seen 100 better CB’s than you, you massive cunt. 8
aintforever Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Takes some arrogance to play that shit and then give abuse to the fans that pay his massive wages. The man is a cunt. 1
Football Special Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Yeah I can't see a scenario where he can play for the club again, at least with fewer options we might stop with the 3 CBs

Fitzhugh Fella Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago St Mary's fans have now seen just one win at home in 365 days - a whole calendar year, so no wonder some are mighty pissed off. Wood might have been frustrated but should have waited until the dressing room to vent his ire at his fellow pros. 8

Perhaps, but Wood was clearly riled up towards the end of the game when we had a corner and Northam sang you're not fit to wear the shirt, looked like he told the whole stand to fuck off , I can't see him playing again without more abuse to be honest

benjii Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Bin him off. Get a proper manager in. Quarshie and Shoehorn. Dream team.
Wade Garrett Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago The sort of mental fortitude he showed when twice reacting to deserved stick from some of his wage-payers explains why we ship so many shit goals. Weak-minded wanker. 5
S-Clarke Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I don't think any player has the right to pick apart fan reaction after the last 365 days we've had to endure. I tell you what, they're lucky they've got away with so much. Nathan Wood has been one of our better defenders this year, not saying much mind, but he is as thick as pig shit and it's really demoralising that he's the level of player we've slipped to. It's no surprise we are where we are. He was part of our PL recruitment too. Let that sink in. 11

Manning and Downes are also ex-Swansea and Russell Martin, boy does it show in terms of professionalism (lack of) and thinking they’re the dogs bits. When that cretin has been your manager it comes with the territory. 3

Gloucester Saint Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago (edited) 9 minutes ago, Fabrice29 said: Probably worth remembering their lack of professionalism and manager got us to the PL last time we were in this league That reflects on how badly Still is doing, but also that we had Adams, the type of central/link up striker we severely lack (given Stewart’s wretched fitness record) plus Bednarek and KWP. Those three made a huge difference at this level. Martin is a better coach but that’s not saying much as Rangers fans will tell you. We still conceded 60+ goals which was a disgrace and thumped by 5 at Sunderland and Leicester. If we didn’t have those players, it would’ve been even more. Edited 19 hours ago by Gloucester Saint 1
wild-saint Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Wood lost his head and reacted to the crowd which is out of order and think he should be put up at a press conference to apologise for his actions. But in te grand scheme of things it a bit of an overreaction by fans to suggest he should never play again. Fucking ridiculous. 1

Lord Duckhunter Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Stewart Ripley once told me to fuck off, I didn’t have a problem with that, and I don’t have a problem with this. I do have a problem with them coming over at the end and half heatedly clapping the fans. All this pony is getting out of hand nowadays. When did clapping the fans become a thing. I prefer the Jimmy Greaves approach, “in my day the fans clapped me”. Acknowledge the fans when you run out at the start, that’s it. At the end, shake the opponents and officials hands, and fuck off down the tunnel, win lose or draw. 5
