Maybe we could appoint the manager that currently sits 8th in Ligue 1. The mighty Liam Rosenior. 1

obelisk Posted yesterday at 20:03 Posted yesterday at 20:03 A case of Peter Principle? No celebrations from me. Decent bloke put in a position that is currently beyond him. Suspect he'll do ok in the long run but this was a case of wrong place, wrong time. Now the trouble is those doing the hiring of yet another manager are the same clowns who've failed serially already. That's worrying. And as for the players, just hope they're having a good long look at themselves. 7
stfrancisofbenali Posted yesterday at 20:04 Posted yesterday at 20:04 Not entirely his fault of course but it couldn’t carry on. No experiments, no gambles please. A manager with proven Championship pedigree please. Gary O’Neil or Liam Rosenior. 2

Dr Who? Posted yesterday at 20:07 Posted yesterday at 20:07 So they have acted reasonably quickly, now the 2nd part a new manager quickly and one with experience at this level or higher. Let’s see what they come up with this time. I’m not that confident, but they have acted quickly.

The Kraken Posted yesterday at 20:25 Posted yesterday at 20:25 You just know that SR want to give it to Eckert. Former SR/Spors history, and they kept on Trollope and Lallana as coaches to bed him in, I can see this dude getting given the gig if we actually pick up points at Loftus and against the utterly turgid Wendys. 1 1
Norm Posted yesterday at 20:27 Posted yesterday at 20:27 Absolutely no idea if true, mate messaged me re RM coming. Surely not!!
SWLondon Saint Posted yesterday at 20:29 Posted yesterday at 20:29 Like S-clarke said, I think he's a decent bloke but this was a case of wrong place, wrong time so it's a bit hard to know if he's actually a decent manager or not. I'm also not especially relieved or upbeat, more concerned about who comes next and can they turn around this shitshow. As far as Still wasn't inspiring to us, I just get the feeling that our senior players never respected him, not having had a playing career and probably being younger than some of them - and so they just reverted to playing the way they're used to, ie Russ-ball. They've now seen off 4 managers in under a season and 1 of them is doing OK in Serie A so he can't be that bad. Talking of Juric, I seem to remember an interview soon after he took over where he seemed genuinely amazed at the lack of fitness and overall physical level of the players. That's relevant because it points to the senior players being lazy and / or unprofessional. I can't help but worry that our problems will continue because the problem players are still in the building. I don't think it's a coincidence that when we beat Sheffield United away, our starting 12 only had Manning and AA of the 'old guard' in it. 4

EBS1980 Posted yesterday at 20:32 Posted yesterday at 20:32 This is not the time to go with someone who hasn’t managed before. Let him go back to the U21’s I mean give it 6 months and he might be able to get it in the summer anyway lol 1

bpsaint Posted yesterday at 20:34 Posted yesterday at 20:34 Hard to feel anything other than apathy to be honest. A Promising young manager that you can’t blame for taking the job, but was completely the wrong person for us at that particular time, particularly when we failed him by not investing properly in the spine of the team. I said when we hired him I’ve been burnt too many times by these cunts to get excited, and it’ll be the same with whoever they bring in next. Some poor tosser nobody has heard of that will be another hipster appointment. 3
