Saint86 Posted Saturday at 16:08 Posted Saturday at 16:08 Was obvious Ipswich were going to keep playing until they scored... kept checking it, 9+8, 9+ 13, oh look, a penalty goal at 9+16 🙄 1

Turkish Posted Saturday at 17:09 Posted Saturday at 17:09 11 minutes ago, sfc4prem said: And yet people expect us to burst into this season winning games at a canter? Not at a canter but I’m surprised how poor we look. Aside from injury time against Wrexham we’ve been crap. We look awful defensively and on course to concede more than we did under Martin in the championship and our top scorer is a left back who is only starting because our first choice there is injured early days and lots of changes to come but it really has been a poor start. Wrexham we’ve got away with it but could easily have lost that by 2 or 3 rather than win and if that had happened we’d be right down in the relegation area ipswich have also started poorly so it’s not just us. Ironic that we’ve just signed two of the best players from the current top 2. 4 games in and now a pointless international break so hopefully Still can get to work on a 3 4 at the back formation once the window SLAMS SHUT and he’s knows what players he’s working with 4

How brave have they been and how front footed? There's more important things than old school points. 🙂 1

skintsaint Posted Saturday at 20:24 Posted Saturday at 20:24 After watching the Chelsea and Utd games, VAR is so lopsided its fucking amusing. That Utd penalty especially, holding the shirt - yes but outside the area obvs.

Even Schmeichel and Neville said it was soft. 1

Jones did very well to get Charlton promoted, the fans like him, he's got plenty of goodwill in the bank, target is to stay up this season, I just know he'll get one over us. 1

Certainly not in England where the prize money for promotion and TV revenue is huge, even the clubs at the bottom should be competitive if they have someone resembling a manager - which the 3 do this year, well - jury out on Burnley, I think Parker is a bit of a fraud tbh. If I were Wolves, Brentford or WHU I'd be a little bit nervous right now. 1

East Kent Saint Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Having watched Motd I wonder what's happened to the game that I enjoyed over the years ! Inexplicable VAR decisions taking so long we end up with over 10 mins of added time , this despite the Ref's being told last week to up their game this season . Teams made up of mainly imports plus wholesale changing of players and 3 new sets of kit each season meaning I can't recognize which team is which or who the players are . Managers who can't even bear to watch his own players take a penalty. Plus side was watching Everton who have a new game plan of give it to Grealish and see what happens ! 2
Saint NL Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago West Ham XI: Hermansen, Walker-Peters, Mavropanos, Kilman, Diouf, Fernandes, Ward-Prowse, Souček, Paqueta, Bowen, Fullkrug Big Saints influence on West Ham today
badgerx16 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago (edited) PGMOL have stood down Michael Salisbury from VAR for Liverpool v Arsenal after admitting that his VAR intervention that led the match referee to disallow Fulham's goal yesterday was a mistake. Thing is, the ref could still have stuck with the goal after the pitch side review, so will he be stood down from his next game ? Edited 17 hours ago by badgerx16 1

saintant Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Fernandes off now after playing about 80 minutes - West Ham fans raving about him and they now lead Forest 2-0. 1

Webb is an absolute disaster as chief refereeing officer of PGMOL. It’s all about him. He’s chucked the VAR under the bus, because a load of half wits blame VAR, and he wants to placate them. The issue is the terrible state of referee’s performance not the VAR. As you say the referee could and should of stuck with the goal, it’s the tail wagging the dog. VAR, is what it says on the tin, an assistant. The referee is in charge and accountable , but it’s easier for Webb to blame the VAR 2
benjii Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago With VAR, they often only seem to show the ref one angle, or one speed of replay, from an arbitrary starting point which means the ref gets a worse view of what actually happened than the TV viewer. The whole thing is just so shit and badly done. 1

How does that help bring him and most of the others up to some form of standard? John Brooks is no better. Astonishing that such inept people are allowed to get this far in their profession. Referees also need to be stronger and more assertive. Funny how Chelsea benefit both weeks isn’t it? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/ce93l9j0xk8o

A lot has been made of their start but they’ve played the away at a hyped up Sunderland and then the world champion. They were good today. feel sorry for Brentford as everyone seems to want to leave now, we know that feeling. 1
Willo of Whiteley Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Brentford will go down this season. Collins in defence is good and Carvalho too, but aside from that they’re a squad of average players. I think Wolves will go too
