Draw coming up after Grimsby vs Man United.

There’s no regional restriction but the stupid ‘clubs in Europe can’t draw each other’ rule applies for the eight clubs being drawn for the first time.

We’re ball 22, Everton are ball 29, looking forward to seeing their new stadium.

Can we get anyone now or is it still divided north and south?

The fuck is this?

Happened last year too. It's to do with the dates or European fixtures clashing or some shit. Basically a simple way for the big clubs to avoid each other.

Wouldn't it cause fewer clashes if they made sure they played each other? (4 games to rearrange instead of 8?)

It's nonsense. They'd have to play the game whether they play another team in Europe or not.

Barnsley, Burnley, Huddersfield, Grimsby, Bradford, or Wigan, away please.
would like Barnsley as I have never been to Oakwell.

Have they got round to the preamble yet?

No they SHOULD do the draw THEN the post match reaction/interviews but they always do it the other way round. Hundreds of thousands of other team supporters are waiting for the draw.

They know that everyone would switch them off then.

It all makes sense but of course Saintsweb have a simpler solution that escaped the football authorities

What a nonsense

Ridiculous. Makes a farce of the whole thing which is designed as a fop to the big clubs to stop the threat of them walking away from the competition.

Can’t believe thr clubs playing in Europe don’t have big enough squads to take an extra match in their stride.

Its not an extra match, either way they have to play a game, they just don't want to play each other.

It's the Thursday night football that has buggered it all up.
