The worst part of this, is that I genuinely think city are pretty fucking shit. There only game plan was park the bus and hit fairly low quality counters... At home... Vs a team they're comfortably above in the league. And even then, we had to literally gift them 3 goals.

They played very well with what they had and absolutely schooled us.

Oh fucking dear. At least it's nearly bedtime. I'll wake up and it will have all been a nightmare, right?

Everyone we play seems pretty clinical and, well, fast.

We seem the complete opposite!

Do you remember when some of our fans used to scoff about our 25 game unbeaten run? 🤣

Yeah but that ‘didn’t count’, remember because we only won 18 of them and Ipswich won some games as well.

Boos at the final whistle for the second game in a row. Are the owners listening?

Knowing SR, they'll just assume it's practice for Halloween.

They are just a decent championship side. They know how to play in this league and how to play against us.

Sit back and wait for the mistakes. Defend in numbers. We've got no idea how to break teams down.

Oh and the big black lad came on and bullied the life out of our defenders.

Sinclair Armstrong - butt of their supporters jokes having scored 3 in his last 50 games or something. Similar ratio to our league wins.

Oh God, SR will read this and sign him won’t they?

FT 3-1

Not surprised at all, despite their match day 11 costing about the same as Finn Azaz.

This was (ANOTHER) shit show from the manager, who is miles out of his depth.

The system again kills us, surrenders midfield, overload immediately in defence, whilst we plod the ball down each channel. We do not have the players in the middle for that, but we largely keep doing it. We of course had our usual 30 min purple patch, but this was terrible and Bristol did not really have to work hard for it. I know people got excited because we looked good for large parts at home to Swansea, but they were utterly terrible.

The manager is woeful, who has a massively expensive squad with proven Championship quality. The fact Fellows and Azaz are sidelined to a degree is a disgrace IMO. Pumping balls down the line or through the middle is horrific, and the insistence to STICK with 3x CBs is hilarious bad.

I suspect more of the same from the manager on Sat if he sticks with this god awful set up.

One thing is for sure, Nathan Jones will embarrass Will Still as it stands..

We needed to score 2 goals, and our solution to that was to bring on Damion Downs. Let that sink in for a moment and it will tell you what an absolute mess this club is in.

Great to see the Bristol players laughing and joking in the post-match interviews. Isn’t it wonderful that we get to make so many people happy, week after week.

Same here. Utter atrocious. Losing Stewart and Quarshie has really hurt us. THB should be dropped, mouthy and a horrible/nasty streak that means he'll always get cards and just isn't any good. Lucky to stay on the pitch after leaving his foot in on Twine.

It seems it's been years since we had a team that actually played football like other teams.

So much passing it around and lumping it forward.

Successive managers, different players.

Why can't we just have a normal football team!?

Yeah, there were too many remnants of Russball - pointless passing between defenders with no urgency to get up through the thirds, walking football which I just don't get unless you're 65 years old, no directness. It was all far too pedestrian at times. Back to the drawing board but we've gone backwards with this performance tonight because we failed to capitalise on our chances and presented them with 3 gift goals which may as well have come wrapped with bows on.

Cannot see where the next win is coming from. We are making shite teams like Swansea and Bristol City look like good. Swansea and Bristol City, let that sink in. Cannot see Still turning this around but not helped when we were crying out for a decent striker who hasn't got a long list of injury problems. Criminal.

Bristol City - 4 shots on target, 3 goals.

Just imagine if we could ever get close to that kind of conversion rate.

They were 3 free gifts.

The Forces used to call Falkland Islanders Bennies, after the Crossroads character. When they were told that this was disrespectful, they switched to calling them them "Stills", ( still Bennies ). Our manager is a proper Still.

Lost this game the minute he handed a team sheet in with 3cb’s on it!  Have ever played well with 3cb’s (ignoring one off games ten years ago which I’m  sure some smart arse will remember!)

Sack the manager and get someone who isn’t trendy and fashionable in!

Absolutely annoyed tonight. We go one up and then we concede a real poor goal. We need to be more clinical but have no cutting edge at times. Why are we continuing to play a back five when chasing the game? Where was the urgency in the second half.

Yet in every full season he has spent at this level previously he has been one of the best defenders in the division…

Dyche already taken now, only trendy and fashionable left....unless Big Sam fancies it (he won't)

MK Solent. Or Watford under the Pozzos. Plastic horrible club. When we played Pompey the best you could say is that it was lesser of two evils playing each other.

Southampton FC died for me when Gao bought the club. The FA Cup win, the Dell, WGS,  the promotions 10-12, Poch, Ronald, those belong to a different club.

Last season, we were one of the worst teams in top flight histopry.  We have won 4 games in 17 months.  Last season inevitably has had an impact on the football club and Will Still doesn;t seem like the sort of person that is going to get the club back in a more positive state.  BUT, who could?  Sport Republic are shambolic, the coaching staff and recruitment staff are dog shit because for the occasional Fernandes that is a lovely player to have, there's a Downs in a position where we desperately needed quality.  Utterly inept people running the football club and there is zero chance they get anything right.  If Dragan wants the club to succeed, he is probably going to have to have some bollocks and part with the likes of Ankerson etc. and start all over again.  We are only going in one direction and it isn't up.

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot, although we were unlucky that literally every mistake ended up in the back of the net.

To be fair they were 3 ginormous mistakes - schoolboy errors would be an insult to schoolboys.

SFC are such a miserable, depressing club from top to bottom. I can honestly say that the girls U8's that play on the local park at the weekend have more structure, determination and attacking instinct than that pathetic bunch of losers. For years now, it doesn't matter who the manager/coach or players are, they play the same negative, backwards game of anti-football. That says to me that it is being dictated at a higher level. This club is going nowhere (at least nowhere upwards) until we get rid of the joke owners. Yeah, the current coach doesn't seem all that, but it was yet again another useless appointment by those in charge who love a project ahead of winning games of football. They all need to go otherwise this club is screwed for a generation.

Where do we go after this horror show.

Don't know, but WS clearly isn't the answer. Managed to take proven Championship quality and either a) make it worse, or b) bench it. 3 CBs again FFS. If Downs is the answer, what's the question?

Not the greatest evening watching that. Saw my first game nearly 62 years ago sitting on my dad's shoulders. Never been more detached from the club as now.

The midfield 2 was fucked from about 55 minutes. Way too easy in the middle for City to dominate us.

To make things worse in reality we are just a feeder club for sport republics other shit teams! 🤣 they have no interest in the club beyond selling players at a profit

How can we play so well in the first half hour then finish the rest of the game like that?  Leadership and game management both on and off the pitch. Both tactical and psychological.

I can’t see Still surviving, probably should be put out of his misery, but Sports Republic need to call it a day too. Generally well intentioned, but it just hasn’t worked for them with us and there must be other decent owners out there who’d fancy their chances with Saints.

I’ll say it again. Will Still isn’t the one. Damian Downs shouldn’t be anywhere near our team.

Pretty fucking poor again today. 3 centre backs who have far too much of the ball whilst slowing down play. Ryan manning who either wangs the ball in from wherever he receives it (to an attack with no aerial threat) or passes backwards to the centre backs who serve to stifle play further. It’s so frustrating and does absolutely no favours for us. To be needing goals and to consistently be so poor when chasing the game is a real concern. So fragile mentally and so poor tactically.

A positive start, a lull and then the goal we deserved. At that stage we were clearly the better team.

The individual mistakes at the back are clearly a factor in losing tonight.

But much more worrying for me is the utter absence of any attacking plan in the second half.

What happened in the final 30 minutes was so poor. It'd take someone more observant than me to say who was playing in what position.

Did we change shape? Apart from to spineless blob.

Azaz not getting a minute when we're two down is bizarre.

It didn’t take much for it all to unravel did it? A shit equaliser gifted to them and everyone and everything goes to pieces. There’s a terrible lack of discipline, character, leadership and basic will to win in too many of these players. And the manager just seems confused. He’s confusing the fuck out of me anyway.
