LiberalCommunist Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago They are going to let Tonda continue. I have no doubt about that.

There a few people around me slagging Azaz but I thought it was the first time he looked like the playmaker he was at Boro , he did lose the ball a few times but he was going for the higher risk forward passes , I'd be happy for Tonda to stay for the rest of the season For the rest of the season based on the last two games? No wonder SR know they can take our fans for fools
Saint NL Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago No idea if this guy is any good, but at least it would be interesting if we were linked with random managers from foreign leagues instead of just silence 1

Willo of Whiteley Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago The thread may as well be closed. Or start up the Tonda Eckhart replacement thread for the summer. It would be very Sports Republic-esque to appoint To da Eckhart and then seemingly not back him, tell him to work with the half-arsed players he has to, not get promoted or finish strongly and then sack him. 😂 1

P.s. have 'FAB' ever published minutes of these meetings with the ownership / management? If yes, where are they published? If not, what's the point of a group that purports to represent the fan base but seemingly doesn't communicate with them...? FAB is a focus group not an independant supporters group that need to take minutes and report back to the masses. Maybe you should set up the Saintsweb independant supporter group Trousers. I'm happy to propose you as chairman. After which you can contact the club and ask them for a meeting. You can take minutes and then post them on here. 1 2

Harry_SFC Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago To be fair Ole has a pretty decent record apart from the Cardiff debacle. Got sacked at Besiktas but still had a decent enough win% and did great at Molde twice. Also probably been one of if not United's best manager since Sir Alex left them.

He's one of the least offensive names I've seen mentioned, and he'd be good with young players.

Care to explain why? I think I said recently I wouldn’t be choosing to keep him on necessarily. I’m not leaning that way. I’m just pointing out that’s it’s nice to have won a couple of games, the idea we’ve played two crap teams so it doesn’t count doesn’t really stack up either and maybe let the bed wetting wait until there’s something worth wetting the bed over. Not many inspiring names about though IMO and I’m always in favour of appointing someone promising and someone the players like over someone ‘experienced/proven themselves incapable of managing a club to any decent degree elsewhere’ Edited 12 minutes ago by Fabrice29

Ha , don't know how I can defend myself against these allegations! it's been so bad for so long I just wanted to highlight a rare positive in the shit show we've had since last season, I'm no fan of sports republic and think they've tried to be way too clever with their recruitment and have blown our chance to go straight back up to the prem and I'm pissed off they scapegoated Will Still to to deflect the criticism levelled at them , I wrote that post cos at the Wednesday game I was sat pitchside and I honestly saw better patterns of play and shape the other day , obviously against terrible opposition but Swansea are terrible too this season and we looked awful , I don't think Tonda is necessarily the answer but I don't think it's as simple as getting an established manager , dropping Baz and playing 4 at the back and maybe a period of relative stability would do us good , I've honestly read the forum years and I didn't expect to be ripped into for a post that people didn't agree with
