My worry with Gerrard , Carrick etc is it wouldn't be a squad thats necessarily suited them and I can't see much business being done in Jan , I went to the Preston game and to Sheff Wednesday and I thought Tonda showed an understanding of our squad , I'd add the caveat that it was against weak opposition but the shape of the the back 5 looked so much better , THB and Jack splitting way higher and wider , getting fellows into the starting 11 running at players ( roerslev is solid enough but not a wing back for me) . There a few people around me slagging Azaz but I thought it was the first time he looked like the playmaker he was at Boro , he did lose the ball a few times but he was going for the higher risk forward passes , I'd be happy for Tonda to stay for the rest of the season

For the rest of the season based on the last two games? No wonder SR know they can take our fans for fools

No idea if this guy is any good, but at least it would be interesting if we were linked with random managers from foreign leagues instead of just silence

Getting things done quickly during an international break? Pretty bold strategy from Boro

Have they learnt nothing from Sport Republic's genius?

I assume he is their 31 year old U21s coach?

If we appointed a former Chicago Fire coach this place would go into a bloody huge meltdown.

We appointed Still in May, didn't do us any good. Far better to wait and appoint the right guy for the job, not that I'm saying it's a forgone conclusion.

The thread may as well be closed. Or start up the Tonda Eckhart replacement thread for the summer.

It would be very Sports Republic-esque to appoint To da Eckhart and then seemingly not back him, tell him to work with the half-arsed players he has to, not get promoted or finish strongly and then sack him. 😂

So true and ask Cardiff fans about Ole.

Is it not possible he has improved in the last 11 years?

Who gives a fuck what he did in 2014.

You want to know what was said in a meeting between a club's sporting director and representative's of the club's fan base? How very old fashioned... ;) Why on Earth would Sport Republic want such matters to be a matter of public record? That would make them accountable to the fans.... Dream on...

P.s. have 'FAB' ever published minutes of these meetings with the ownership / management? If yes, where are they published? If not, what's the point of a group that purports to represent the fan base but seemingly doesn't communicate with them...?

FAB is a focus group not an independant supporters group that need to take minutes and report back to the masses.

Maybe you should set up the Saintsweb independant supporter group Trousers. I'm happy to propose you as chairman. After which you can contact the club and ask them for a meeting. You can take minutes and then post them on here.

Nicely written and definitely an interesting viewpoint, entirely brand new poster 👍

Well pointed out. We've found one lads.

The SFC Nudge Unit checked in for the day, it seems.

I suspect Monday will see more movement from the team.

They are going to let Tonda continue. I have no doubt about that.

Looks like it. What a waste, dont get me wrong if he carries on winning then great but I cant see it.

A back 5 against Charlton and Jones will know what to do from the onset.

Just waiting now for the “I’ve been a lurker on here for ages but decided to sign up, honestly I did” justification.

We’ve been here before, this isn’t our first rodeo ffs.

Get Steve Grant to trace the IP to Phil Parson's office.

Nobody thinks you cheap fucks will pay for Gerrards tax bill but to claim Carrick doesn’t suit our players when we are crying out for a goal scorer and he got the best season out of Archer is laughable.

Top 3 club sock puppets:

1) Rupert Lowe employing a whole media company to post positive spin

2) Nathan Jones

3) jrobsbigshorts, but it’s still early, you can move up those rankings yet fella

Honourable mention to “call me Mike” Wilde for roping in Keef Legg to do it in open sight. Free trip to Sweden? Cha ching.

Getting Keith to go to Sweden as his guest was a phenomenal. The picture mock up someone did of Keith on lead held by Wilde was brilliant. “Mike asked me to ask you…” posts after were brilliant

shame it all went to his head and he couldn’t resist the Amy honey trap

To be fair Ole has a pretty decent record apart from the Cardiff debacle. Got sacked at Besiktas but still had a decent enough win% and did great at Molde twice. Also probably been one of if not United's best manager since Sir Alex left them.
