Peretz all day long. I think he's a better shot stopper for starters. Where he really shines is providing leadership on the pitch. 

Ramsdale on the other hand, signed on for the big pay day. Fucked off to warm Newcastle's bench and doesn't seem like he wants to be here for the fight to get promoted. Only to be first choice if/when we do. And, whisper it, he wasn't a big improvement over Baz in goal albeit in the Russell Martin shooting gallery side that disgraced the Premiership.

Great news if Peretz is secured but I think he'd have even struggled in a RM side with a defence in constant disarray in front of him. I was mostly happy with Ramsdale for us but, yeah, Peretz gets the nod for me now.

Is the correct answer. Pretty sure Daniel Peretz isn't going to concede a goal because he was busy saying hello to a pigeon.

Peretz for me too. For all the reasons above plus the added reason that he’s fucking mental and I really enjoy watching him. 
 

I love it when he sprints 60 yards out for no reason to flatten someone/ head it away 😂

Looks like this is happening which is absolutely brilliant news and boy do we need some of that. I wonder if Daniel Peretz has been given some kind of assurance that the bulk of last season's squad are going to remain because I'm not sure he'd contemplate signing without that. If so this is again brilliant news but let's wait and see. The club seems to be moving to re-engage the fan base after spygate which is totally the right thing. Feeling far more optimistic now.

First time in a couple of weeks that I'm buzzing about Saints.  He is, as others have pointed out, a proper keeper - mental, organises the back 4 and makes world class saves.  Great statement of intent - fuck the EFL, lets actually win a league for a change

Don't think he knows what the word 'dealbreaker' means, in time I may be able to forgive him for that. 

Seriously though. What a signing! Unbelieveable start to the window. Massive statement of intent. Great chance of preventing a mass exodus now. Things are looking up.

Indeed. There was a real togetherness in the team for the second half of the season and he was evidently a big part of that. 

If we can largely keep that team together (expect one or two departures still) then even starting on -4 I reckon we would still be among the favourites for autos, or even the title.

Was thinking the same thing. Might trigger a feeling among some of them of wanting to finish what the group started, being all in it together.

Fantastic signing, genuinely thought there was no chance of that happening. The cynic in me says we've pushed this through early to try and get the fans back on board and TBF it'll certainly help. Hopefully we can follow this up with Larin.

In fairness, the term does seem to have entered common usage to mean its exact opposite in recent years. He's not alone.

Why would you consider the club doing this as cynical? Surely it makes sound business sense.

What a signing.

Not just a top goalkeeper, but a strong personality and a leader.

It was easy to jump ship but amazing how he has shown loyalty. This could be the start of something great.

Fantastic news! So important to have a good foundation and Peretz also showed he is a good character in the dressing room in the last few months. If we can also secure new contracts for Bree and Stewart and a deal for Larin in the next few weeks, that would be a great start to the summer.

That’s an outstanding signing. Best keeper we have had since Niemi. First step towards recovery, and it’s a big one!

Will be worth 10 points next season easily.

This is an absolutely massive statement from the club. 

Best keeper since Niemi, such a statement of intent and a real stake in the ground when it comes to next seasons expectations.

100% agree ... I was going to post something like, most important signing for Saints for years, and I stand by that. 

Loved the interview too and the "fuck it, we go again, we are even stronger now with this experience" - YES, get in, come on you Saints!
