Tonda, post match with Blackmore....

Blackmore politely put it to him a little, and Tonda was adamant we had the stats to back up the right approach in the first half, and it is "all in" on Wednesday....said that a couple of times

  • I am very frustrated, the stats say the game was in one direction, the result is the other
  • We need to get our head up and go again
  • The good thing is that we play twice this week and we go all in on Weds
  • If you look at the whole game today, there were 2 moments where we gave away easy goals
  • The game was clearly going in one direction but we never got the result
  • We had Ross on the pitch at the end, we needed to find him quicker
  • We tried to create 1-v-1s, but we need to get the ball to him quicker
  • We pressed very high in the 1st half, then switched in the 2nd half, but it is about winning games
  • We had an xG of 1.7 in the first half. I know people talk about this when you dont win
  • We had more than enough chances to win
  • Time to start winning football games. Today, play 9 out of 10 we win
  • it is what it is, we have a chance to do it on Weds
  • I have all of the faith to turn it around and we go for Weds and see how it goes
  • Lets play Weds, we will go strong and then we can talk about ifs, buts and maybes
  • I live and breathe this football club and will do everything to continue

Armstrong isn't any better. Watched him today, just trudging back to the centre circle after both the Hull goals. No trying to motivate the players or encouraging. He can fuck off at the end of the season for me.

There are no leaders in the team. Romeu could have been that but he’s nowhere to he seen.

arma isn’t a leader, maybe THB is the best of what we have?

I thought Armstrong looked really down today, I think he's had enough of the club and would like a move

Bunch of cunts. I can’t believe there were nods actually clapping them at the end, dear god. The only bloke who looked like he was interested first half was Fellows. And I include “golden bollocks” Leo in that. Why he gets a free pass is beyond me, he’s as soft as the rest of them and gives the ball away regularly. I guess he rushes around looking like he cares & gives his shirt away at the end, so that’s ok.

Downes is a bottle job, and I don’t know who fucking “Arma” thinks he is. Apart from the odd one or two, they’re all arrogant entitled blaggers, I wish the lot of them would fuck off.

What summed it up was the reaction to the first goal, not one of them bollocked Manning, not one of them showed the slightest disappointment that they’d conceded such a soft goal (except perhaps the keeper). They couldn’t give a shiny shite about us or the club, they’re a fucking disgrace.

Just back from the match. Just a complete shambles. The club is broken. I was sat in the Kingsland and so many left after Hulls second goal and didn’t come back. We have to get a ‘proper’ experienced manager in now to give these players a big kick up the backside. Get in Tony Pulis and we at least go to Pompey and make a fight of it and avoid getting beat.

Tony Pullis is done with football management, has no intention of going back in. That came from the horses mouth, when my mate met him last week.

Back from the match and that was a hideous performance against an injury ravaged Hull side that still looked better organised, fitter and more passionate than us.

I then look at some of the talent we have in Fellows, Azaz and Scienza and the way, for example, they destroyed a Charlton side and pondered as to how we could look so utterly mediocre.

Some thoughts

1) Bad, inflexible tactics.

2) Three CBs, none of whom can seemingly tackle, head the ball or mark anyone and retreat when anyone runs at them

3) Shit full backs with no defensive ability or wing backs who then can't attack as they should

4) Two good wingers, yet no number 9 who they can cross to (even when Stewart came on, he was inexplicably playing behind Armstrong).

5) A generally, light weight, feeble, non physical side that consistently get bullied off the ball.

6) A manager, who's highest level of experience was as U21 manager for 3 months.

Why can't SR not see any of this.

Yeah to be fair to him after the first goal the keeper came out and went round to every defender trying to lift them. Once he gets used to what a complete pile of shit they are he won’t bother anymore !

What really summed these fkin cowards up for me was about 3 times within the space of 5 mins Harwood Bellend passed the ball square to Wood who passed it square to Quarshie and as he passed it Wood had the fkin audacity to point up the pitch more or less telling Quarshie to pass it forward. Niether of the bastards took any responsibility whatsoever, they just passed it to the young guy and left it to him to get the boos if he didn’t find a team mate.

Absolute bastards !

Poor lad, my heart bleeds for him. Maybe he should look around his mansion, check his assets or maybe glance at his bank statements or look at the motors in his garage - should cheer him up a bit. Might also make him feel a bit guilty and act as the leader he is meant to be starting with encouraging more effort on the training pitch.

Tim-nice- but -dim.

His comment to the effect that results or league table didn’t matter was a sign where things were going.

Then he was the one who was credited with bollocksing up the striker deal in 2022.

But him or Wasmus? Not sure who was more damaging .

He started the season playing crap. Had a purple patch before Tonda was made permanent and now he's gone back to playing crap again. He hides when things get tough like so many of them.

He needs to be part of a big reset.

Yes Tonda is struggling, compounded by the stupid substitution of Fellows, the only one who had any credit today.

However, I am happy to abuse the players and Sports Republic, but Tonda isn’t really at fault.

He has just been over promoted, and that’s solely on the door of Spors and Sport Republic.

Next Sunday will be the final nail for Tonda I suspect, we lose that game so face it now.

Reckon the RM fanclub are too used to their days off and don't give a crap anyway as they've managed to get all the managers who've tried to get them to put in a shift fired. Put the shit stirrers in a bomb squad, honestly, it might hurt their resale value but relegation is going to do that anyway. Just get rid however you can, cut the cancer out of the club FFS.

We know who it is.

THB

Stephens

Downes

Armstrong

Manning

Every single one of them can fuck right off. I'd rather play the youth players than any of those cunts

Peretz

Jelert wood Quarshie Wellington

Jander Sesay

Azaz

Fellows Scienza

Stewart

Is a much better team. Ideally we'd get a striker and cb in but I doubt we will.

Why on earth have we got a novice manager in and then not given him a very experienced assistant manager? It's just a bizarre way to run a club.

Treat yourself and the dog to a nice walk well away from fish territory. This channel has loads and Rob’s Hampshire Pub Walks is a good one.
You’ll be bussed past where you live twice on the bus, and have to drive Warsash to SMS twice again, all to watch several of Russell Martin’s mates not try a single leg for the shirt and have their island mutants celebrating as they score more goals than there are teeth in the Fratton End. That bell and trumpet to listen to as well…

If the players didn’t give any sort of shit in the home game, they’ll really not give a toss about competing at the rust shed. 2005 was bad enough, but this has potential to be a lot worse.

Yes I noticed this too. Not only was there no bollocking, but Manning and Quarshie actually shook hands as they were walking back as if to say 'ah well, you tried'. Thought that just summed everything up, they should have been going mad at each other. (Manning totally at fault btw, not Quarshie).

I will give some credit to THB today as I thought he was doing his best, he just looks so confused in a back 3. He gets a lot of stick on here but I do think it matters to him. Also fronted the Northam after the game despite a lot of booing. He should be captain imo.

Just don't know where we go. The whole club feels broken and I'm dreading next Sunday.

If that’s true, THB has to stand up against the formation (and I agree that he isn’t comfortable with 3 CBs) even if Tonda won’t rebel against Ankerson and organise at kick off so that one of the centre backs plays as a CDM anyway. If by some miracle they get a result no-one will notice. It’ll totally undermine Tonda but he’s only a 14 year old anyway so who cares.
Sometimes leadership is about recognising that Tonda and AA can’t do their jobs and taking control. It’s what happened under Nathan Jones so form for this under SR and their selection of weak, piss poor managers.

Those stats were obviously sitting in a different seat to me (and those around me) where it was obvious we didn't work anywhere near as hard as a quite limited opposition team who turned out to be much better than us and pretty comfortable in the end and were largely shit and ineffective. We seem to have the knack of having bodies in the 'right' areas but they don't do much: stand and watch and not challenge or bust a gut to get back or look for a quick, early pass or pass back (we know who those cunts are) or ...

Yet again an exercise in frustration and annoyance and a very long day for no reward or enjoyment.

Sports Republic get out of our club.

Nah, it's what Still did at the end of his tenure when things were going South and he had those headlights full on him. It's a panic reaction like Nathan Jones started when he was the fittest man in Europe (by his own high, PE teacher standards).

Saints players have given and are just walking around like games are an exhibition match. We watched how bad they were at home to Pompey and Sunday will be the worst game in club's history. The manager and coaching staff have no idea how to counter teams or attack them. The players insist on doing what the manager dictates even though its obviously rubbish.

Trying to put RM in the same category as Tonda is embarrassing. People may not have liked him, called him legohead, claimed we should have won the league under him (even tho Marseca and Leicester were far superior), claimed that most of the problems we have now are his fault 😂. End of the day he got us promoted and gave us a great day at Wembley, which still annoys some of our fans bizarrely. In comparison Tonda has us sitting 16th (for now) and heading for a hiding against the skates next week

I agree that Tonda is not good enough.  But just compare the side Martin had to manage.  Bednarek, KWP, Stuart Armstrong, a fit and motivated Aribo and Adams.  We totally lack that experience and nous.

If that dismal result doesn't get SR bringing in a hard CB and a tall hard CF in an emergency then nothing will and the club is a basket case
