Well we can’t play any worse than we did earlier in the season up there, truly abysmal. Given our current form though be lucky to get a draw

They beat us comfortably at St Mary's in our promotion season as well, we could really do with getting something not just for league position but I sense fans on the verge of turning on players just a week before our trip to Fratton , terrible preparation heading into that.

McBurnie will bully our defenders as usual

I'm going for saibts 1-3 Hull. I cant see us winning any games now only draws. We have 10 players who cant play full game and that creates this 5 subs every match confusion. We have got so disorganised in defence recently any ball low or high incoming is a potential goal. The back has no pace, give ball away all the time. And that's not even looking at midfield,  wing or forward. Our best player can play 97 mins so as soon as he's off we collapse or comes on 2nd half but that's with the other 4 confused dot com.

Until we get a new manager and coaches who know football its draws at best. No outfield players coming in so I haven't seen any football from Saints recently that indicates we can compete with Hull or any team, as confirmed v Doncaster.

Hull, one long range goal, one header from corner and one from idiotic passing in box.

First part of a home double header. I'm hoping for something like:

Peretz

Jelert THB  Quarshie  Wely

Downes    Bragg

Fellows  Azaz  Scienza

Archer

physically a weak looking team is it any wonder we get bullied, not one character amongst them, worrying.

Arma for Archer and Jander for downes

Cant believe how little I care. We all know it’s going to be another boring defeat

It may not be a defeat but it will very likely be another weak, ineffective, don't give a fuck, backwards/ sideways, unentertaining effort.

Yep, that would be my choice too. I would be quite happy to never see Downes play for us again.

His booking yesterday was bizarre. Do they have an ongoing bet among the players on who can pick up the stupidest booking? Or are they all just thick as shit?

3 at the back, lots of passing out from the back, THB expected to play like Pirlo and we hope Leo can do something on his own.

2nd half will be shite and Tonda will continue to be utterly clueless with his in-game management

you watch, they will squeeze the middle of the park, whilst allowing our defenders to have the ball

I'm really regretting wasting £70 on 2 tickets for Saturday. To think i could just stay at home and stick knitting needles in my eyes and it would be less painful and not as costly as watching Saints!

This is our problem and needs to be rectified as much as possible in this transfer window. We simply must bring some height, strength and physicality into the team.

Trust the process, Johannes is very relaxed about the situation

I would like to see 2 CBs at the back but I can't believe Tonda won't tow the company line and go with 3 as he has in every League game.

I would also have Arma over Archer

Bet the tickets are flying out the door for this one.............................

Sales aren't too bad considering the form, obviously loads left in the usual spots either side of away end (talking of which Hull have only sold about 650  so away corner will look sparse) probably be 28k total attendance

Maybe Alex and Tonda have a lot more in common than one might think 😉

My first game at SMS since we beat Everton. Going for a 0-1 loss as bringing the missus, and its been 6 games she has attended and we havent even scored a goal.

It’s one of those games where you go into it thinking it’s another soft, roll over performance where we get bullied out of all three points, even though the other team is not all that. My preferred choice to start would be…

Peretz

Jelert. New CB. Quarshie. Welington.

Jander. Bragg.

Fellows/AA. Azaz. Scienza.

New CF.

The above is never going to happen…Tonda will revert to SR favoured tactics and personnel. We will lose 1-3.

I like Jander and Bragg, but that's a very young central midfield, feel we need an experienced head in there at times

It brings home what a shit show SR is by the fact that Hull have a transfer restriction stopping them paying for new players yet they sit well above us in the table, have McBurnie up front who will probably terrorise our weaklings and not many of our fans think we have a chance against them at St Marys. Let that sink in.

Perhaps JWP for Bragg? Not sure he’s still got what it takes. Romeu is not the answer. Perhaps Charles for Bragg? Doesn’t make much difference IMO…think Bragg has shown he can battle. Don’t think we’ll be forking out for another DCM.

Downes = 'experienced'. Give me youth any day. And when Charles is back even more youth.

I think Downes is one of my most disliked Saints players of recent years. Just seems like a toxic character, and is only good in the Martin possession system. Also really dislike Wood, who seems like he's won a few too many headers at a young age...
If we have 2 it should be Jander and Charles, both much better all round footballers. Sooner we can get Charles back the better.

Disappointing to hear about hinting at moving back to a back 3/5 😐

I think that's nailed on. Tonda will point to the fact that Donny didn't score any more goals after bringing on another CB as vindication for sticking with it, and it will be a long time before we see a back four again.

Or at least until Mini Rasmus gets sacked after a 3-0 defeat at the Ammonia Shed.

You can't blame him after we defended so well with 3 at the back against Middlesbrough.

Tonda knows best.
