When it's a football match we dominated, as soon as it got long and physical we struggle. Need another goal fast, give it 15 and if we've not scored need to change it up.

Larin is not effecting the game positively and Azaz is a shadow of his performance in the last game.  Two great goals and we definitely deserve to be ahead. But as usual we take the foot off the pedal and let them into the game.

The Ref literally gifted them their goal after a blatant foul on THB - possibly even missed a red as Moore led with his elbow into he back of THB’s neck. Disgusting tactics from Wrexham.

My first thought was that he was bundled over.

My first thought was why didn’t he stay on his feet instead of being such a soft arse.

Assume the ref has been promised an all expenses paid holiday in Hollywood plus a part in a movie. If that wasn't a foul by Kieffer Moore then football is totally gone. Most blatant foul you will ever see. Cheated.

That was a bloody foul on THB.

Yep but it counted. Our first was probably offside so it probably balances out. Need Edozie to do a bit more. Run into the box and draw some fouls.

Manning probably my MOTM so far. He's better when he doesn't have to defend as much.

I was a bit surprised Tonda didn't start with wood tonight to battle Moore

He bullied Edwards and Stephens opening day as well.

Agree I’d bring on Wood to neuter him.

my thoughts as well, a few of our players going for cute fouls and being caught out when the ref doesnt blow.

No way it was a penalty. Fuck me, some of our supporters need to man up. Red card for Moore, Penalty. Load of old pony, it’s a physical game ffs

Neuter! Bit harsh, even if he is dirty sod 😉

We should have this game won. But, imagine you're Wrexham and just put everything into the last 20 minutes and then see scienza, fellows and Stewart come off the bench. They will tear these apart

Yeah, think this is something that we have allowed to creep into our game. Some of our players seem to go down way too easily.

It seems to be a tactic to block an opponent from taking a quick free kick too. We are definitely a bit more streetwise these days

I know there is some PTSD on this board from last year, and it's hard to believe Saints are where they are, but for goodness sake let's have some belief.

They are just a direct bunch of bullies. Deal with it and start dictating the pace of the game.

Larin and Edozie aren't terrible, but there are better replacements on the bench. Maybe Nathan Wood on to  mark Moore, but I'd also be wary of making too many changes.

I'm sure Tonda has a plan.

Difficult to defend when you're bundled to the ground...

What's Stephens excuse? Let the guy get his shot off far too easily.

Think youre being a bit unfair here and youre going to the other end of the spectrum. Had that been given as a foul Im sure no one  would have been surprised. Not us and I would imagine not the Wrexham fans, but thats a joy of having not var. Likewise our goal was offside. Its really got nothing to do with " manning up "".

One of those things

Cracking half of football.

Tonda making a lot of changes. He's been very good at giving minutes across the squad. So, not as worrying as it might have been. MVP Downes coming in, is always good when he's on form.

We were so much in charge of the opening spell, and well worth a 2 goal lead. Not to mention Larin and Azaz hitting the bar.

At that point, we dropped off just a little. Still enough to mainly keep Wrexham at bay. But they hit the outside of the post, and always have that direct Moore outlet. THB not challenging for that header, seemed to have helped the ref make up his mind.

There front 2 of Moore and Windass have plenty of experience. Larin has been much more involved than Moore. It can be hit and miss.

Some of our build up play had to be slower as Larin was deep, and would take time to get up. Edozie, who has shown both good and mixed parts of his game, put in a couple of excellent deliveries that just needed a touch.

And, as Larin himself pointed out, he could do with Matsuki or Azaz closer for any knock downs.

Wrexham will be thinking they have a lot more to give. We'll be looking to take advantage of any gaps, and we've a very strong bench.

COYY!

Yes it was a foul on THB but Stephens let his man have a shot far too easily.

I thought that too. Everyone could see he was going to cut onto his right foot. Completely duped Stephens there.

Larin got fuck all out of the ref, in fact penalised for legit physical forward play.

The little maggot ref had no issue with Moore doing it though

Tbh Stephens could have done better but Windass is a great finisher - imagine how many he would have had if we’d bought him rather than Archer!

Baz was always accused of being slow to get down, but that's a few goals now where peretz has been caught standing on his back foot, watching it go past him.

Think we will piss all over them second half, and we've still got Leo on the bench.

My concern is that we can change things up, get Leo and TF on, get Stewart up front but we can still be undone by one long simple uncultured hoof upfield.
