Danbert Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago In addition to Tomori, City have also set their sights on Southampton centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis. They are not alone in the race, however, with Hull City also in the mix. If the Sky Blues choose to move for the 24-year-old, he would have to set aside past grievances with manager Lampard. https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/transfer-news/coventry-tomori-harwood-bellis-transfer-34455188 1

hypochondriac Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I'd be surprised if THB would want to go to hull given there's a fair chance we will swap places with them next year. 5
SuperSAINT Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Would always assume promoted clubs would be likely to be looking at players like Leo & THB
musesaint Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Are the last two weeks of August the most stressful weeks of the year? 1

Target man that can hold up the ball and has a decent goalscoring record. Suggests Mubama was likely not our first choice. Agree. Whilst Muamba looks quite a handful for defences, both strong and quick - and potential - you wonder if we’ve left ourselves a little ‘short’ in this position with his height and perhaps relative inexperience. The Serbian bloke featured here is a lot closer to the Ross replacement in his profile. Wonder if it was a bid to buy, or loan with option. 3

The article that linked him to us made it sound like Lazio needed to sell him to raise funds so would assume a buy.

Think you’re right from the article I’ve since seen. https://thelaziali.com/2026/08/13/lazio-market-petar-ratkov-rejects-southampton/ Looks like our interest was probably from what he’s shown earlier in his career rather than the few months at Lazio. Signing from Lazio. Mmm 🤔 don’t think we have a good track record with them.
Saint_lambden Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago George Kift from the academy is signing for City. Plenty of compensation but it’s sad that these big clubs can hoover up talent so easily.

KingInDaSouf Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Seeing a lot of people touting Imran Louza on X, not sure there's anything in it but would be a good signing, think we're unlikely to get James. Edited 3 hours ago by KingInDaSouf

Saint_lambden Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Šolak still trying to persuade countryman Ratkov to sign. Edited 2 hours ago by Saint_lambden

Watford Captain, 27, Moroccan International, available for £8 million, a position we need to fill and Watford apparently looking to sell. Probably nonsense but would be a good signing, he had a good season last year.

Interesting considering Tonda's comments. We have a lot of business (mostly out) to do in the next couple of weeks, that's for sure!
Pilchards Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 27 minutes ago, Saint_lambden said: Šolak still trying to persuade countryman Ratkov to sign. Not surprised he won’t sign as he only joined Lazio in January this year and only last week he started his first game for them after 8 from the bench. Scored the first two goals.

Which is Hull and Coventry out of the running unless they offer him silly money. He can stay with saints, have a good season at the top of the championship and know he'll either be up to the premier with saints and/or be in a very commanding position for a move (due to his contract term). Rebel Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago if a club like Everton or Villa come in for THB this summer he will be off - but I'd hope we wouldn't lose him to a Coventry or Hull. But money talks and I thought it was said we needed to raise about £50M this summer. if it came to selling 2 of Scienza, THB or Jander who would you keep?
