I'm assuming top transfer fees paid for Championship centre backs, not top fees ever.

Obviously...we sold one for 75m!

Yep, although he was much less definitive about that than he was about replacing Shea.

Pretty much what he said about Charles... 24 hours before he left... 🥺

We'd probably need to shift on transfer/loans all of Downs, Brereton Díaz and Archer for another striker to come in.

Would he rather he said he was acting like a dick?

In addition to Tomori, City have also set their sights on Southampton centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis. They are not alone in the race, however, with Hull City also in the mix.

If the Sky Blues choose to move for the 24-year-old, he would have to set aside past grievances with manager Lampard.

Judging by the comments, they don't want him anyway because he hurt their feelings.

Much more the type of player I thought we'd go for this summer. Target man that can hold up the ball and has a decent goalscoring record. Suggests Mubama was likely not our first choice.

Agree. Whilst Muamba looks quite a handful for defences, both strong and quick - and potential - you wonder if we’ve left ourselves a little ‘short’ in this position with his height and perhaps relative inexperience.

The Serbian bloke featured here is a lot closer to the Ross replacement in his profile. Wonder if it was a bid to buy, or loan with option.

The article that linked him to us made it sound like Lazio needed to sell him to raise funds so would assume a buy.

Thanks. Think you’re right from the article I’ve since seen.

Looks like our interest was probably from what he’s shown earlier in his career rather than the few months at Lazio.

Signing from Lazio. Mmm 🤔 don’t think we have a good track record with them.

George Kift from the academy is signing for City. Plenty of compensation but it’s sad that these big clubs can hoover up talent so easily.

Unlikely to get compo that young.

Seeing a lot of people touting Imran Louza on X, not sure there's anything in it but would be a good signing, think we're unlikely to get James.

Maybe we could have Rodri off them as a swap deal?

Watford Captain, 27, Moroccan International, available for £8 million, a position we need to fill and Watford apparently looking to sell. Probably nonsense but would be a good signing, he had a good season last year.

So we're still looking to sign a striker then? Interesting considering Tonda's comments. We have a lot of business (mostly out) to do in the next couple of weeks, that's for sure!

Not surprised he won’t sign as he only joined Lazio in January this year and only last week he started his first game for them after 8 from the bench.

Scored the first two goals.

Probably the last thing THB will do, is move to what is essentially a relegation certainty. Which is Hull and Coventry out of the running unless they offer him silly money. He can stay with saints, have a good season at the top of the championship and know he'll either be up to the premier with saints and/or be in a very commanding position for a move (due to his contract term).

if a club like Everton or Villa come in for THB this summer he will be off - but I'd hope we wouldn't lose him to a Coventry or Hull.  But money talks and I thought it was said we needed to raise about £50M this summer.

if it came to selling 2 of Scienza, THB or Jander who would you keep?

At 8 million we’d be better off long term chucking the 10 million to get Justin James!
