I'd like to see how he does playing there after a Tonda pre season. He's definitely a better option than Downs. Quite physical as well which we need (at least compared to the academy nipper). 1

Agreed. He's better with his back to goal than with the ball at his feet. I'd like to think we'll upgrade him, but if he's our number 2, we may as play him.

Saint_clark Posted yesterday at 00:54 Posted yesterday at 00:54 BBD is awful wherever and however he plays, sign of desperation from some people that they're trying to talk him up. 5

SfcPhil Posted yesterday at 07:18 Posted yesterday at 07:18 BBD is genuinely awful. The "performance" I witnessed in Germany was like a competition winner playing. Clumsy is the best word to describe him and he often takes the ball away from players in a better position. He'll be loaned out again by the end of the window. I'd assume Downs will be as well. It'll be Larin, new striker and Oyekunle as the striker options IMO. 4
Saint NL Posted yesterday at 08:50 Posted yesterday at 08:50 First day of the season, full of optimism of what we could achieve - enjoy these moments before our hopes are dashed and another year of pain is upon us
SaintBobby Posted yesterday at 09:05 Posted yesterday at 09:05 Any away pubs recommended in Colchester?
Convict Colony Posted yesterday at 09:32 Posted yesterday at 09:32 right is this bollocks going to be on a stream later ? as I know the willy Wonka cup was a problem previously for streams

DellBlockH Posted yesterday at 10:14 Posted yesterday at 10:14 Radio 5 Live building it up as the second big match of the day (behind W Ham v Pompey) as it's our "first game since Spygate". As if that makes a difference.
davefizzy14 Posted yesterday at 10:15 Posted yesterday at 10:15 Can't wait for the new season to start 😊 opening with a cup game - 3-0 to us - Scienza, Dobbin and BBD to score 😊 COYR 😊 5

It's not just another noddy first round Carabao cup game. He knows we need to get this season off to a winning start here and then in the League, especially as we're starting on -4 in the League. Defeats early on and he'll have people on his back. And I've gone for the warm-up in the sweepstake of when we'll first hear "You cheating bastards"... 😉

St. Ciervo Posted yesterday at 15:01 Posted yesterday at 15:01 Damn it feels good to be back. Downs scores by accident is in the center of my bingo card.
RedArmy Posted yesterday at 15:16 Posted yesterday at 15:16 Strong lineup. Good to have Azaz on the bench. 2
The Kraken Posted yesterday at 15:18 Posted yesterday at 15:18 BBD up top with Larin on the bench is interesting. Maybe a (final) chance for BBD to stake a claim of staying. 1
trousers Posted yesterday at 15:19 Posted yesterday at 15:19 (edited) Surprised to see Charles on the bench if he's (supposedly) very close to leaving...? Edited yesterday at 15:19 by trousers 1

davefizzy14 Posted yesterday at 15:20 Posted yesterday at 15:20 Strong line up as Tonda said on Thursday at the fans forum 😊 Cyle back in the squad 😊 Shea included too 😊 hopefully that means he's staying and Azaz back too 😊 1
Lighthouse Posted yesterday at 15:20 Posted yesterday at 15:20 Pretty much full strength, that team should have more than enough for a team like Colchester.

Saint NL Posted yesterday at 15:24 Posted yesterday at 15:24 Fairly strong, apart from BBD of course.

goodymatt Posted yesterday at 15:33 Posted yesterday at 15:33 Not ideal that Azaz, Jander and Larin have basically had no pre season. Wonder how that will impact team selection for Watford next week. Team selection should be more than strong enough for the win today and hopefully get some minutes later on for Azaz and Larin.
hypochondriac Posted yesterday at 15:34 Posted yesterday at 15:34 Surprised Downs not in the squad. Not upset about it but we won't get any return for our investment so I thought we'd try to play him at least.

Not sure Larin is quite the same given his world cup exploits.

Saint Pete Posted yesterday at 15:44 Posted yesterday at 15:44 Interesting Charles still there on the bench. And good to see that Azaz must be close. Not sure about this giving BBD another spin, hopefully itt is just putting him in the shop window as I don't think he has what it takes to alternate with Larin in the same way as Stewart did. Well, not if our aim is to contend for autos from starting on -4.
