Agreed. He's better with his back to goal than with the ball at his feet. I'd like to think we'll upgrade him, but if he's our number 2, we may as play him.

BBD is genuinely awful. The "performance" I witnessed in Germany was like a competition winner playing. Clumsy is the best word to describe him and he often takes the ball away from players in a better position. He'll be loaned out again by the end of the window. I'd assume Downs will be as well. It'll be Larin, new striker and Oyekunle as the striker options IMO.

Tonda won't underestimate the importance of this game. It's not just another noddy first round Carabao cup game. He knows we need to get this season off to a winning start here and then in the League, especially as we're starting on -4 in the League. Defeats early on and he'll have people on his back.

And I've gone for the warm-up in the sweepstake of when we'll first hear "You cheating bastards"... 😉

Team selection should be more than strong enough for the win today and hopefully get some minutes later on for Azaz and Larin.

Interesting Charles still there on the bench. And good to see that Azaz must be close. Not sure about this giving BBD another spin, hopefully itt is just putting him in the shop window as I don't think he has what it takes to alternate with Larin in the same way as Stewart did. Well, not if our aim is to contend for autos from starting on -4.
