Get Manning on FFS

Don’t worry, Will Still will get that premier league job any day now

Hell of a goal that.

Papers over the cracks though. Yes Lincoln are well organised but we've been really poor. Lacking any sort of invention.

That’s what can happen when a decent player takes charge and has fucking shot on goal without 5 oppo players within 2 feet. Take note Larin, Scienza, Fellows, Matzuki, Downes and JWP!

Exactly this.

Leo very poor again today. Stephens making mistakes again - fortunately Lincoln not good enough to take advantage. Matsuki frustrating again - same mistakes every game, but also good in spells too.

Great strike.

Poor performance overall.

Need to be much better in the second half! Tonda needs to give them his super intense stare!

Thank goodness for a Welington worldie

game has done nothing to reassure me that our underinvestment in a proper Charles replacement won’t bite us. Seeing notifications of 3 goals stoke’s good signings are scoring extra salt in the wound.

Yep. Thought it might just be local to me because it seemed to drop out when the gusts of wind were strong

I don't think we've been really poor, i think we have been neat and tidy although there has been a threat from Lincoln and a better side would have punished us, but I agree we've lacked a cutting edge in attack. Azaz hasn't had much space and Matsuki and Scienza have struggled to get into the game too.

Scoreline is good though. Hopefully now we can have the confidence to get more.

Stoke have strengthened well, Saints were linked with Galbraith and Devenney and both on the scoresheet today. They could be this season's surprise package.

I feel like Matsuki is better suited to the bigger games, where maybe we have less of the ball. The opposite of today.

Lincoln have had some reasonable chances to score. Can see them converting at least one of these long ball bombardments into a goal. Saints maybe need to be a bit more direct with their attacking play.

I think that’s because they’re don’t do anything differently most of the time. They’re hugging the touchline so much that on a press there’s nowhere to go and guess what the ball gets re-cycled. Just needs one of them to make themselves available in a channel or further in-field once in a while and at worst we might get a FK in JWP territory.

I would like to see us play the occasional ball round the corner for Larin. He's not slow and if we turn them a bit more it will open up some space for Azaz, Leo etc..

I don't think we're playing badly, but we could be a bit more unpredictable.

We look vulnerable to the long ball up the top. Need to be better from a defending point of view.

Do we? We've defended them pretty well.

Dogged first half.  We need to impose ourselves a bit more.  Scienza needs to show more or he’s getting subbed.

Downes and JWP controlling the midfield.  Fantastic goal from Duke.

Tbf, Lincoln have set up really well. Their press and shape has been top class. They’ve made it really difficult for us to play.

We haven’t been great in the face of that, but we’re doing enough. They have to come out and play now. Should hopefully open up a bit.

Have we? They've had decent chances from a fair few of them.

If a team pumps the ball into the bix endlessly then they will get a few half chances. I don’t really any sitters.

Plenty of forward passes there, but he's doing the job asked of him, 1. All those clusters on the left - shifting it forward to scienza, who has often been giving it back to him or weli. 2. Switching play to the right (bree, matsuki) who then either give it back to him or lose the ball.  He's maintained possession almost flawlessly.  If tonda asked him to play it through the middle I'm sure he would.
