newyork Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago is Dobbin now playing down the left or middle? I read he better down the middle. No stream unfortunately
JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Get in. Battled hard and taken our chances. Well deserved win. Mubama did well there Rode the challenge and set up Azaz nicely. Against Lincoln, nothing came off for him. 4

E_H_Saints Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Getting no love from coverage but clearly as always stated, good teams find a way to win when they aren't playing pretty. How often do good teams make their chances count and the better playing teams don't take advantage. Well done Saints! 2
Baird of the land Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) a very odd game. City wasteful whereas saints were clinical. Win very welcome but lack of control for large parts is concerning. Edited 1 hour ago by Baird of the land
SNSUN Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Powering up the League. Wrexham next to try to banish the away win hoodoo and then... ...the big one.
Sheaf Saint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I only caught the first 20 mins and had to take my daughter out to a birthday party. Have I missed much? 5
Saint_clark Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Should have had a pen right near full time but oh well.

This is a fucking brilliant result today. Absolutely loving it!
Saint NL Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago We've won 3-1, 4-1 and 5-1, yet I'd wager we're more likely to win 6-1 than 1-0 🤣 1
benjii Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Scoring 3, 4 and 5 goals every week without hitting top form bodes well! 5
benjii Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Is it tempting fate to hope we absolutely smash the Skates by 6 goals? 2
AlexLaw76 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago FT. No way does 4-1 reflect the pattern of the game, but the quality we have over them did the trick Bristol are a very good side. Larin, Azaz and Leo again Purring (although, Azaz was more quiet). Thought Mubama look handy when he came on and JwP was again very very good 1

sfc4prem Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Well well well! A resounding scoreline. A tight game. Bristol had too much time and space in and around our box for my liking, but only created one or two clear cut chances.
stknowle Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Ok so our home form is ludicrously good. Just need to start winning away and we might just be in the top 2 conversation, which tbf we already would be if it weren’t for the - 4 Edited 1 hour ago by stknowle Realised we sort of already are in the top 2 convo

Harry_SFC Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago About time Mubama put himself about a bit - he's looked a bit like a rabbit in the headlights previously. Very good assist for Azaz. 2
do i not like fizzy pop Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago So 7th and without the -4 we would be 2nd on goal difference to West Ham. After their result against Wrexham we're now one goal behind in goal difference 1
Saint Fan CaM Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Defence better without Stephens that’s for sure. I’m still of the opinion that Welington would be a better starter than Manning. Funny that some thought we had a poor game, but I thought we controlled the game pretty well and they got lucky with their goal.

Yes the initial shot was lucky but it was a good reaction finish from their striker. We were clinical today but as others have pointed out, we gave them far too much space in and around our box.
Patches O Houlihan Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Loving that Azaz had a uncharacteristically 'quiet game' and still managed 2 assists and a goal 😁 2

COYR Called it 👆 Taught them a lesson in clinical finishing second half. Lovely goals again. Azaz making his class tell, pleased for Matsuki getting a reward for all the hard work he puts in, and we’ve got the best striker in the league. Now to give Wrexham another hiding and things are looking good going into the break Edited 1 hour ago by Midfield_General 2

SNSUN Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Early days but we should be second on GD* so if we keep doing what we're doing we're well in the autos fight. It's still early in the season but it already looks like a Boro, West Ham, Wolves and Saints fight for top 2, but you'd expect Milwall up there and a more surprise package like Norwich, WBA, Stoke or Swansea too. Whatever happens we should be aiming for top 4 at the very least to make the play-off campaign easier, but with the quality we have we should be fighting for top 2. Of course what happens to Tonda could play a big part. I just hope that decision isn't made the week before the Skates game. Edited 1 hour ago by SNSUN *if it weren't for the -4
vectraman Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Great result saints 🥅⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ I’ve now missed Swansea and Bristol being smashed, as I’m in St Lucia on holiday. Maybe I should just stay here and guarantee Saints win every game..😁 1

Vancouver Saint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Great result - if the plan was to allow them twice as many shots as us - get extremely lucky they didn't take any of four or five really good chances in the first half and beat them on the breakaway with some really calm, clinical finishes - then brilliant! If that wasn't the plan then the game I watched was a much more even one, with Bristol City easily giving as good as they got and looking capable, even more likely to equalise and perhaps go on to win until Matsuki's goal. Which game did you see?

Slightly flattering result but the clinical finishing was the difference. Matsuki justified his selection, he was busy all afternoon and his goal was well taken. Two quality strikes from Larin. JWP worked hard throughout - a typical game from him. Peretz did some good things, especially when Bristol C. had control of the game for long periods. Liked Mubama’s cameo, he showed strength, balance and touch to put one on a plate for Azaz. Once again Schott. Held the defence together, and while Wood was ok, surely its time to find out whether Abbott is up to standard. He deserves a chance to show whether he’s good enough to replace Wood/Stephens.
