Saint Billy Posted Wednesday at 18:00 Posted Wednesday at 18:00 There's rotation and there is over rotation. 2
Saint NL Posted Wednesday at 18:02 Posted Wednesday at 18:02 8 minutes ago, hypochondriac said: but does show that Tonda mustn't rate Mubama Kind of weird timing because Mubama looked crap and then he finally did something and scored a good goal and hasn't been seen since
Lighthouse Posted Wednesday at 18:02 Author Posted Wednesday at 18:02 I’d say eight or nine from that team would start for Norwich. No excuses IMO. 1
suewhistle Posted Wednesday at 18:03 Posted Wednesday at 18:03 So Edozie's job is to attack the full back and get him booked, and then Scienza can come on against a tiring defender and hopefully not get clattered too much.. 7
Scoobysaint Posted Wednesday at 18:06 Posted Wednesday at 18:06 Not totally sure about the Mubama if he can’t get a start if Larin is out. Hoping for a real masterclass in pacey, attacking play with plenty of movement and creativity. Failing that I’d settle for a scraped 0-1. 1
sockeye Posted Wednesday at 18:06 Posted Wednesday at 18:06 At some point certain players just need to step up. I imagine there is one eye on the January window now. 2
Totton Saint Posted Wednesday at 18:07 Posted Wednesday at 18:07 16 minutes ago, qwertyell said: Dodgy. Wonder if Azaz will be leading the line again, as he did for much of the second half at the weekend. Diminutive strikers playing up on their own, which would be the case with Dobbin, are a proven bust for us in this or any league. Fellows might not have set the world on fire, but he's at least shown more in one season than Edozie has in four years - with the added bonus of actually wanting to be here. Strong bench. We'll need it. I was about to say why not Fellows instead of Edozie. 1
suewhistle Posted Wednesday at 18:08 Posted Wednesday at 18:08 I see Portsmouth are also on Sky + as well as Citeh v PSG. Just hope my PO10 area pub shows Saints; they normally do when I go..
Saint Pete Posted Wednesday at 18:09 Posted Wednesday at 18:09 Interestng line up! At some point, we do need to work towards trusting our backup players more and I think that does mean biting the bullet and starting some of them so we can rest the likes of Larin and Scienza. Intriguing that he's gone with Dobbin in preference to Mubama, will be interesting to see how he goes up front. Very powerful bench available if the score is tight in the second half. 2

Problem with that is the same full back crunched him in this fixture in 2023/24 and put him out 4 months, ending a fine run of form Sam’s come nowhere near since. 2
Football Special Posted Wednesday at 18:11 Posted Wednesday at 18:11 Looks a bit of a mental line up, I was told that Tonda had spent a lot of time working with the squad across the international break so got to assume they probably played training games with this line up. Edozie to get Stacey booked then get Scienza on to run at him Mubama must be down the pecking order. Dobbin gets the nod as Tonda fed up with him walking around Staplewood with a long face 1

Yeah, Stacey is a bit of a thug, remember he put himself about a bit at St Marys when we won last season.
Totton Saint Posted Wednesday at 18:13 Posted Wednesday at 18:13 I cannot read who the subs are -print too small. I guess only two days since Sunday to recover and try new tactics explains the changes to some extent.

Could be the very reason why Eckhert has put him in.
Wade Garrett Posted Wednesday at 18:15 Posted Wednesday at 18:15 Would rather see Fellows instead of Edozie. Looking forward to seeing what Dobbin can do. 1

CB Fry Posted Wednesday at 18:19 Posted Wednesday at 18:19 Maybe a version of this line up played in the behind closed doors game.
Jack Posted Wednesday at 18:19 Posted Wednesday at 18:19 Edozie is such a weird one, barely gets a sniff for ages then thrown in as a starter. Formation wise it looks back to normal but serious questions about personnel. Prove us wrong Tonda. Was Mubama a season long thing or is there a recall option? I doubt he or City are happy with him being behind Larin, Dobbin and even Azaz as a number 9.
scumbag Posted Wednesday at 18:19 Posted Wednesday at 18:19 Looks a shite line up. But I'm an idiot. 2

Saint Billy Posted Wednesday at 18:24 Posted Wednesday at 18:24 Hopefully not getting a decent backup to Larin isn't going to bite us on the ass tonight.
Willo of Whiteley Posted Wednesday at 18:27 Posted Wednesday at 18:27 (edited) Maybe he doesn’t want a new contract 😂 Edited Wednesday at 18:27 by Willo of Whiteley
TheSoundman Posted Wednesday at 18:29 Posted Wednesday at 18:29 Tonda is thinking that Norwich will do a lot of early kicking (just like Watford did), so let Edozie and Dobbin take the abuse, Norwich pick up a few yellows and then we send on the A team. 3
Hawkswood Posted Wednesday at 18:30 Posted Wednesday at 18:30 49 minutes ago, Midfield_General said: Quite a lot of changes in one go, and no Larin to hold it up might mean we have to change the way we play. Can understand it, but it might mean this is going to be a scrappy one. Yeah I thought hed only change a couple
JSpeake Posted Wednesday at 18:30 Posted Wednesday at 18:30 Never saw the point of the Mubama loan - if he was a sure thing, then yes loan him and if we go up then we recruit another striker for the premiership. But loaning a raw youngster, being asked to bring him up and turn him into a decent striker, with the risk that he’s useless, only for City to take him back once we’ve put in the hard work doesn’t make sense to me. much rather try Dobbin, who at least is our permanent player - but then Dobbin has to show he’s not just another Archer.

Jack Posted Wednesday at 18:33 Posted Wednesday at 18:33 Norwich fans also underwhelmed with their lineup, and not confident. Might not be a classic this, or maybe it will. Saw some people asking what Stacey has got to do to get dropped, maybe getting sent off is the answer. Questions also being asked over why Makama and Musaba aren’t starting

Pilchards Posted Wednesday at 18:35 Posted Wednesday at 18:35 It’s clear we have a few injuries because we had to put Larin and Scienza in against Pompey. Hoping the can turn the screw second half with them coming off the bench if we keep it tight first half.
Suhari Posted Wednesday at 18:38 Posted Wednesday at 18:38 One man's "interesting" is another's "brave" and still another's "fucking batshit-cunt-mental!" I wonder which this is?
benjii Posted Wednesday at 18:39 Posted Wednesday at 18:39 It's hardly massive "rotation". Bree had a bump on the head. Matsuki would have probably played anyway and Larin was unlikely to start three in a week. 1

obelisk Posted Wednesday at 18:50 Posted Wednesday at 18:50 That was too easy for Norwich. Bad miss. Lucky Saints. Lucky Abbott. 1
Saint Fan CaM Posted Wednesday at 18:50 Posted Wednesday at 18:50 Can’t see this going too well, but in Tonda we… oh shit they came close attacking our fantastic new RB!
DellBlockH Posted Wednesday at 18:51 Posted Wednesday at 18:51 Commentators with verbal diarrhea on Sky.
Saint Fan CaM Posted Wednesday at 18:52 Posted Wednesday at 18:52 Where the fuck was Manning?! Nowhere near his defensive position AGAIN!
