Burnley vs Saints Match Thread

If we lose this and lose to Liverpool there will be nothing left to play for this season other than to avoid relegation. In that scenario surely we have to be considering puel's position? Surely?

I've been saying for a while that the Swansea game maybe pivotal

Knew that would happen. We played really well and controlled the game (as we have most of the season) and yet could not score in a brothel. Chance after chance wasted (as ever).

Unfortunately Redmond and Tadic are absolutely godawful. Awful mistake by Romeu and Forster just terrible.

This is not on Puel any longer - they played really well on the most part today - this is on the club. It is painfully clear we need better attacking options and yet nothing. I feel sorry for Puel - he has been bad;ly let down by the club

If we drift down to 15th and below then definitely.

But then when you think about it that is the case for clubs like Stoke and Bournemouth (nothing to play for apart from finishing as high as possible)

****ing useless, same old story, dominate the game with our toothless attack not finishing anything, then concede a **** goal due to the fact our goalkeeper's a gangly freak show. If we go out of the EFL Cup we should sack Puel and get ready for next season with someone that's up to it.

Are you satisfied with this? The run we are on is appaling and worse than that, the games are dull as dishwater and we don't score any goals or even get any shots on target. It stinks.

Of course i'm not. Todays performance has been a lot better though, nowhere near as negative as it has been.

Absolute garbage yet again...from the highs of midweek to this. If anyone still thinks we are too good to go down then you really need a reality check. Our board most likely dithering in the transfer market. We have one decent performance in every 4/5 games and people think that's totally acceptable.

Another puel Master class

You are a prize t**T. This is nothing to do with Puel: they have played well but the finishing is awful. This is on the club not strengthening where everyone knows we need strengthening.

Until we can start taking chances we are going to struggle.

That's complete balderdash. We haven't played "really well" at all. It was turgid with the occasional chance like we have played for most of the season.

This apologist stuff is starting to lose its effectiveness. If course puel has some culpability for this awful run. We certainly didn't play well and we look like losing again having barely threatened the goal all afternoon.

not sure even if we won today there would be much to play for in the league?
