Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 0-1 Swansea

LOL in the 50th minute my friend said Shelvey was going to score an 82nd minute winner. He was only a minute out.

Fair play to them, they've defended too well. Ashley Williams has been brilliant.

Our crossing has been so poor it's actually made Fabianski look dominant.

We're too slow and predictable in the final third, and far too pre-occupied with trying to walk it in the net.

You could see it happening. But it just goes to show, we can't sustain this without THREE of our key players. All the pre-match was about Bony and Sigurdsson missing. What about Morgan, Wanyama and Toby? These three alone would get into ANY premier league. They make the difference. Without them, we are bound to struggle.

Taking Reed off was the error. Him and Davis had control of the midfield. Mane should have come on for Tadic

Nail on head for me - after Reed came off, Shelvey waltzed past JWP twice, hitting the woodwork then hitting the net. Our midfield was very leaky from that point.

You can see why we're apparently looking to bring in an attacking midfielder. If our crossing is off, we create very little, and if Pelle is having an off day we have no option but to stick with him, because the entire team is pretty much set up to try and put the ball on his head/chest.

Swansea have just done to us what we did to Manchester United.

Exactly this! Well played them, although Shelvey and Barrow are both utter c*cks. Tadic wasn't good, very weak again today - not sure why he's not the same player he was, is he being asked to play differently that doesn't suit him? Can't work it out, going from "making Lallana look sh*te" to being a bench warmer. Unless I'm being harsh?

We played well enough, but couldn't finish, again. I think with Wanyama and/or Morgan on the pitch, Shelvey wouldn't have scored that goal, but there we are. Slip ups happen to all the top teams, right? ;)

Taking Harry Reed off was the big mistake. This left our defence far too exposed and gave JonJo Shelvey all the space he needed. Other than has effort against the post Reed had Shelvey in his back pocket. Tadic or JWP should have been sacrificed for Mane.

Oh and Tadic leave the ****ing set pieces alone, your dead ball delivery is poor compared to JWP!

Taking reed off was a surprise, but it felt like Swansea would score and nick a win. Tadic slows things down and doesn't get the ball in early enough, but to be fair there is only Pelle in the box.

Games turn on opportunities missed and Ward Prowses miss was vital.Had we scored early it would have settled things for us and Swansea would have had to come out a bit more.

Soooo frustrating. Most of the game we're far the better team. Wish we'd had Mane from the start. Maybe instead of Tadic, who continues to frustrate.

Ultimately, I put this down to the cruel gods of football lottery. We were a little lucky to win there... and really unlucky to lose here.

As others have said could see it happening. We lack that killer touch going forward.

Ward Prowse was utter gash. He shouldn't be taking our set pieces. I'm still not sure how he gets in the team as seems so over rated to me.

Forster was terrible again. Doesn't have to do much but when he is asked to he is poor at starting positions.

We badly need a pacey striker who can get behind defences as having Pelle try and do all the work is not working.

Koeman needs to get a few players in now. Especially as Cork has gone. Midfield of Prowse and Reed is very lightweight and predictable. Need a plan B.

Great to see everyone on the Forster bandwagon- what about the fact that we had 2 players (Davis & a Fonte?) both covering shelvey but then both stood off him and allowed him to shoot under no pressure

Doesn't the fact that he should have stopped it.

Pelle and Tadic were poor. We need to be better going forward.
