Marco roses odds just dropped to 16/1..

Probably because someone who knows a bookie was reading SaintsWeb last night and saw his name had been mentioned.

I’m expecting Gio van Brockhorst odds to drop tomorrow šŸ˜‚

Those 2 losses were also in their last 2 matches.

So he was unbeaten all season until the last week or so. And now he's out of work again. Tough gig.Ā

Best Charlton and I think Tonda Exkhart will be confirmed, but if he then loses the next four games Sport Republic look more idiotic than they currently do.

Think you meant beat. For a moment I thought you were going to post about vintage Man Utd...Best Charlton and Law šŸ™‚

Juric is availableĀ

I thought he was doing alright but I haven't looked since September TBH.

Thoughts and prayers for Kamaldeen Sulemana at this time.

Right place, right time springs to mind.

As Brentford have shown, promoting from within is the right call when the model is established. You don't want an outsider to come in and upset the model/ culture that is working so well.Ā

That is absolutely not where Saints are right now. As the debacle with Still showed, you need a big personality, gravitas and credibilty to make big changes. Or the players will simply ignore you- as we now hear happened with Still.

This feels very similar to what we needed when Koeman came in. Les Reed (for all his faults) said that they decided they needed a big name first and foremost and then used the data to pick the best manager available. There were other, more successful (in terms of data) managers available but he was what we needed AT THAT POINT. So the black box identified who was best within the parameters set. Not just.. whos won the most games/ got the best xG in Europe.

Now is the time for the same approach IMO. We have the resources and talent. We don't need a high risk choice to get some marginal extra gains. Basic competance with instant respect right now is the way to go. Viera or Rogers are the only ones in that category.Ā

What a great post that is. Agree 100%

He can’t help himself.

My children would say things like that when they were 10 years old.

I’d quite like a manager that is being interviewed to say what SR need to do to be successful.

Whether that be having a reformed transfer committee aligned to the manager and not the SR group, tactics or formation etc, more authority of things around the club.

Imagine a prospective manager going ā€œI’m not the desperate one, you are, but this is what you need to do if you want to be successful, because clearly your last four candidates you went with have been dogshitā€. šŸ˜‚

Marco Rose is never coming here.

If he genuinely wants to come to England he's the kind of name who might be in the frame for a vacant Newcastle/Everton/Spurs type job. Worst case Leeds or Brighton or something.Ā

He's not dropping down to the Championship.

What calling Brendan Rodgers, Brenda Togers, yeah that’s so mature and you’re having a go at me for pointing it out. Another case of you totally missing the point in your desperation to have a pop at me  🤦

I wouldn't be so hasty to dismiss the notion. He has a home in Winchester and I saw him in the area very recently.

True, just down from the Aldi, his holiday home.Ā

I don’t know anything about March Rose other than he’s highly thought of, and would be considered a bit of a coup if we did get him.

Therefore, we won’t get him, because it wouldn’t be the Sport Republic way šŸ˜‚

Unlike The Circle of Trust that is so childlike and always writing songs for new signings ending ā€œhe fucking hates Pompeyā€!

Yeah that’s so mature!
