Not just the prosecution. They've also been judge and jury too.

Can't believe people are still reacting to stuff being posted on Boro forums by anonymous internet dickheads

Come on lads, seriously

Propaganda really does work,  been incredible coordinated approach

You've had hypocritical cunts like Henry Winter piling in on Saints when he was playing quite a different tune for Leeds a few years back.

That cunt Henry Winter should be pulled for this.  Fucking prick.

Haven’t seen anything direct from Norwich but it’s been reported in their local paper. Hull have also confirmed they’re not involved and have no suspicions.

The Boro fans have a real bad case of Southampton Delusion Syndrome (SDS).

Symptoms include a wet undercarriage, lack of critical thinking and delusional thoughts.

Boro need to hope they don't get fast tracked to Wembley - imagine their unfit players on that massive pitch, they'd be going down with cramp in the warm-up.

It’s already been confirmed that Norwich aren’t involved so this is bollocks.

What I can’t get my head around is why the EFL didn’t pause the competition as soon as allegation was made. If they had fast tracked it and found us guilty then the Boro v Hull final could still be played within the original timeframe. Carrying on playing the Boro games should imply that they carry on with the final and deal with the consequences later. If we were doing guilty after winning the final they could award promotion to Hull. It really seems as though they’ve left it too late.

If they had fast tracked it and found us not guilty? Then they would still have needed to play our two legs, unless you are suggesting Midds had been expelled? Not sure you’ve thought this through.

One of the unfittest sides I've seen I think.

In both games they looked knackered after half time.

The main realistic outcomes are these:

The independent commission recommends that we are kicked out of the playoffs. We will of course appeal, apply for injunctions etc. Under that there is no way that the final will be able to be played without us. Not sure what happens from there, maybe it's delayed but seems unlikely to be sorted quickly.

We don't get kicked out and get some other sanction. Clearly in that circumstance Steve Gibson will take legal action against us and along with some sort of sanction we will probably end up having to pay Middlesbrough separately in a settlement to go away. This will probably be a few million and likely to be expensive along with a points deduction next year and a fine to the efl.

Ah yes….so much shit on this

🚨 Despite a self-proclaimed insider, who has been wrong in almost every claim made about Norwich City, stating that they were a club involved in providing “Spygate” evidence, the club have confirmed that they have no involvement #saintsfc @pinkun

Or Option 3 - the evidence is reviewed and basically found to be wanting. We get no punishment and Middleborough look like even bigger idiots.

I don’t think we would need to pay him anything at all. He would have to prove a loss, which he can't.

So we’re to believe we were cheating when Will Still was manager (Bristol City was one of his games pre December).

Obviously has no impact then. Play on!

We’ll get a sanction. That I am certain, no denial what so ever has been made.

best case is a fine, with a suspended points deduction.

most likely, big fine and -3 points

least likely expulsion from the final.

Extremely unlikely given we haven't contested the charges and we are basically bang to rights.

I feel sorry for their fans. It's a long way to go and the uncertainty isn't fair.

That's why this hearing should take place after the final.

Could be inadmissible

If we've only been charged over the Boro incident, then it's irrelevant. At worst it could just give extra weight to the accusation that this wasn't a one-off, but unless he's got concrete proof of written instructions from a senior member of SFC staff to analysts to spy on teams within the 72 hour embargo, which I seriously doubt, it's meaningless anyway.

Acknowledging the charges is not the same as accepting them.

Middlesbrough will for ever be known as a whinging bunch of wet fannies who can't take responsibility for their own shortcomings. First brexit, then Fagash and now this. Pathetic bunch of cry-babies.

Not sure why. They’re in the final and playing us as far as they’re concerned. Until they get told otherwise, that’s what they’re preparing for. Their DOF publicly saying they don’t have us as suspects also confirms that they’re focussed solely on a Wembley game against us.

Besides, as Luke Ayling said in his TV interview, this doesn’t really flow to the players.

Our intern was at their ground. Alfie House and Adam have both said we aren't contesting it and have admitted privately that it has happened. They will obviously know. I can't see any scenario where we deny that we were spying, even if we try to mitigate things by suggesting he was a lone wolf.

Would be f-ing hilarious if nothing of note come of this.

extremely unlikely I know otherwise I doubt it would gone this far, but would be funny though

I think the team spirit is incredible right now.

Everyone is busting a gut and wants to play their part. Sometimes being up against something like this just makes them try even harder. Can't see the likes of Flynn Downes, Ryan Manning or Finn Azaz giving a flying f**k what everyone else thinks.

Dogging?

I am amazed at the amount of hate coming our way on social media. Gibson’s hate campaign has travelled like wildfire. We are currently hated more than Jeffrey Epstein!

I must say I'm quite surprised Middlesbrough haven't just been really quiet about all this until the case is over. All the leaking and all the headlines are obviously being done to maximise the pressure and not any sign of confidence on their part.

I think Gibson is determined to ruin our playoff hopes. Can you imagine how unsettling and off-putting all this is for the players, coaches, and Eckert? He's a slash and burn kinda guy is Gibson. Saints only recourse to 'beat' him, is to go to wembley and win, and then to do everything possible to defend the club and to try and go after Boro/Gibson with everything we've got after the fact.

If it comes out the final is postponed then it is something significant that has happened.

postponing the final is not really an option for the EFL, surely

Irrelevant. Norwich don't have to be involved. It's the "whistleblower" that's supposedly presenting the evidence.

If he, as an ex-employee, has the receipts of systemic spying, we'll not have much of a leg to stand on - and it could open us up to further charges down the line.

It's a mess of the club's own doing, and we'll have no-one else to blame if the sanctions are pretty harsh. Boro have been royally hysterical about it, but they're not the ones who were caught with their hands in the cookie jar. Or standing in plain sight to the side of the cookie jar waving their phone in the air like a useless cunt.
