Fans do need to be up for it tomorrow though, big home game with 3000 full away end who will have had plenty of cans of cider on the train over, make a decent noise. Last home game for a month , surprised there are still quite a few tickets left particularly in Chapel stand , hopefully lots of late sales this evening and on match day.

Disappointed by ticket sales again. Thought we’d sell this one out, good form, Saturday, etc etc.

Hopefully over 30k

How on earth have we got a referee that used to play for the opposition? I'm pretty sure any affiliation with one of the clubs used to be against the rules?

It's bad enough when we have a northern ref when we play a northern team.

🎶 He's one of your own, the ref's one of your own
Sam Allison - he's one of your own. 🎶

Sing that loudly and clearly within the first five minutes and that ought to even things up a bit...

Blowing a gale and pouring with rain, I will be stood on the Galabank terrace today for the love of Southampton FC. Hoping for another double win! Surely it cannot happen 3 games in a row? All it will take is an away game when Saints are at home and that will end it! Maybe… 🤔

He's from Chippenham which every SaintsWeb forum contributor should understand is slap bang in the middle of the Southampton FC catchment area.

He's a red and white Saint to his fucking bones.

To be fair we did use to have our satellite academy in Bath, just down the road. Tyrone Mings also from Chippenham. There are a lot of Saints supporters around here.

True. I've been there and first football shirt I saw being worn was a Saints one so definitely our support catchment

I am from NW Wiltshire and Rovers and Swindon are supported far more than City here including Bath.

Guess who was the referee for our last league defeat at St Mary's, 8 months ago?

So… Are we winning today?

Depends which Saints turns up! If the decent one we should be ok. If the shit one, we'll get smashed.

Appointed by the Middlesbrough rep on the EFL committee, one assumes...? ;)

So is this just an oversight based on incompetence, or more blatant corruption?? Why have we not pushed back against it as a club?

We're waiting for the result. If we win, no further action. If we lose, we'll go all Middlesbrough on the EFL.

I'm sure I've posted this before many times - I am a boring old man - Roger East is a Saints supporter - I've been to the Dell with him, all of his famiy support Saints, I've played football with him too - so him saying he didn't support Saints was 'hmmmm' and him saying he wasn't good at football was an underplaying part. He wasn't brilliant but in the standard we played in he was a good defender.

If you ever played in The Commericial Houses League for Hospital Sports he played in the Minnows Cup Final you lost - and I was the goalie....

Just switched over to football on Sky from the cricket. Commentator on Bolton game at half time picked out some highlights of other games to come later. Didn't mention Siants game (ALL the others are highlights, apparently) but did say that, in his opinion, Swansea are playing the best football in the Championship. Didn't think to mention Tuesday's result. I'm not suggesting any sinister media c9nspiracy, but it just seemed odd.

Not trying to be all MLG but didn’t fellows start ahead of Matsuki against Swansea

i apologies if I’m mistaken.

Not sure I like us swapping who is on the right wing every game. Matsuki seems to be anonymous when starting and generally sets something up when he comes on. Stick with that.

Can we bin off Edozie to the U21’s? Waste of a spot on the bench.

Yep, would much rather see Akachukwu given the first team exposure. Impossible to have less than zero impact which is all Edozie offers
