They achieved their objective of getting a big pay day. 

People on here will tell us it was worth it because he could get a career ending injury any time and needed to chase the money. 

He clearly should have stayed with us for a season

Dont know if there’s anything in this. However if Preston are in for him, should we be too? I have to say I’m ambivalent to it but if it was a low cost loan maybe it could work for all parties

Does anyone actually read beyond the clickbait headlines? They’ve quoted a former scout who reckons he’d benefit from moving to PNE due to their links with Everton.  Zero suggestion there’s a move on the cards for Dibling, which there won’t be.

He'd be in the same position, watching from the bench and getting 15mins every other game. He doesn't have the work ethic to stake a claim for the rwb role.

That's a harsh reality fact, that is very depressing. Love seeing youngsters come through the ranks. Dibling made a big mistake moving, he was nowhere near ready.

As he was playing silly beggars, the club rightly cashed in, and replaced him with Fellows and Scienza, not to mention Robinson already on the books.

Such a talented player, but he is in danger of not realising that potential.

In contrast I still think selling Ballard was a mistake, that boy is a goal machine once he gets going. Reminds me of Steve Moran a little.

Yep, recovered on our time, scored goals for fun in the under 21s, sold to Orient ..... 10 goals in 15 matches.

Wished we'd loaned him.

Bear in mind that Charlie Kelman scored 21 goals for Orient last season and has managed two for Charlton in the Championship this year

Of course, nobody knows if he would have scored goals for Saints in the Championship. However I think he was a safer bet than Damian Downs. A lot cheaper as well.

Thankfully not our problem. His agent, family and Tyler cashed in and glad they did frankly as we’d be in even worse trouble without that fee received.

Not sure what's been going on in his head but he's a million miles off that player we saw for the first half of last season. He looks devoid of confidence.

He should never have left so soon after what happened with the failed Chelsea transfer a few years ago. He went for the money and I've got no sympathy for him.

Unfortunately Tyler has a MLT-type gait and movement (MLT could be actually fairly rapid early on in his career but always had a languid look) without any of the considerable and eye catching match winning output to go with it. MLT was good in the air earlier career as well.

Obviously we can't know - but even if he had stayed I think it would be the same here. The problem isn't ability it seems to be mentality.

He plays like someone who despite being good, just doesn't love the game.

I’ve said this before but it’s a tactical thing. His best stuff came when the team was designed to move him from wide to inside and pick up the ball of the half turn and run at players centrally. Not put out wide and cutting in which is what he’s been asked to do for a while now. Disciplined football doesn’t suit him. Also probably could do with playing with some of the better players and an overlapping right back rather than getting his game time when they are struggling for numbers. 

Think Everton’s owners would expect more from Moyes at some stage and move on personally over the next year or so. Dibling will outlast Moyes there and their next managerial appointment will be big for Tyler.

Think the people writing him off and calling him whatever need to have a look at themselves though.
