All getting predictably weird now, this transfer window. WBA in for Scienza as a replacement for Fellows.

No way we’re getting both as many thought yesterday. Perhaps the dick waving from some in this thread was premature after all.

They play on opposite sides mate. I'd let this one play out.

I think that was an error in the print version of the Daily Mail. They said 'Baggies also in talks..' when they meant Saints.

It has been corrected in the online version.

How about wind your neck in and wait until the window closes and signings are confirmed 😂

Sport Republic have a proven track record of poor recruitment and relegations. Let's not get carried away shall we?

Totally agree that SR’s record, previously, was piss poor. Since then the Board has changed, Spors has been brought in and the manager changed. Therefore, slag off past performances but look at deals already achieved this window, in and out, and the money changing hands.

As for winding my neck in, when did that become a requirement on this forum?

Tbf, you are swinging your dick around prematurely

If past performance repeats, we’d end up signing no one else and selling a few more.

But we’ll see. Finn is a great start tbh. Credit to the club.

Not that prematurely, looking at the announcement in the last five minutes.

Nobody is asking you to do that, and forums are about opinions. But telling people to STFU, especially fellow Sotonians wherever we reside, is not helpful. The fanbase needs to get behind these new lads and manager. We’ve got ‘them’ arriving at SMS in the short term for a start. And if one thing unites us…

There's a different energy about these incomings. We're not scrambling, these are clearly planned and well executed. Call me an optimist but I expect Fellows and I'm confident in Scienza.

Will be refreshing to have most of our business done before the deal sheets.

Ruffled a few feathers here and totally agree with you. The furniture in this place don't like when they're challenged or questioned.

See if he’s missing from the squad over the weekend. Would imagine he will be if deal is that close

Which is exactly his point. There are new people involved so why just assume that it is going to be a let down again?  The window closes in a few days time. If it is a disaster by then, by all means have a whinge. Frankly I would be very surprised if this window turns out to be a disappointment.

We need to stop making these decent quality signings. It’s making it much harder to throw a tantrum that we replaced Joe Lumley with a loan from Norwich.

so here’s how it works:

- club recruits terribly for years, culminating in us being one of the worst sides in PL history

- club gaslights fans the entire time

- the very next window, people will be sceptical until proven otherwise

I hope this helps

What a day.

Three new players. Three improvements on what we have.

Shame it'll be a couple of weeks before we see them all play in the same team.
