benjii Posted Sunday at 11:26 Posted Sunday at 11:26 Every time we get near the final third we completely shit the bed.

Why on earth has Onuachu been frozen out AGAIN? Rusk's default is to sit deep and use the amazingly clinical Sulemana as his pacey counter. Even in games where we are given space and could push our opponents back. I just sighed when I saw the line up, knowing that this is what we'd be getting. I was hoping we might fluke one through Dibling being left in tons of space. But no luck. 1
Sheaf Saint Posted Sunday at 11:27 Posted Sunday at 11:27 Jesus. How the fuck did Wellington manage to be offside there? Absolutely no excuse for that. It's so basic.
Saint Billy Posted Sunday at 11:29 Posted Sunday at 11:29 It's very unusual to have 11 players who have zero impact or any affinity with there fellow players but somehow saints have managed it. 2 1

Actually given he has been in the 1st team (squad) for as long as he has (9 or more seasons), 200 is distinctly unimpressive, has seldom made more than 50% appearances during a season.
Holmes_and_Watson Posted Sunday at 11:30 Posted Sunday at 11:30 Ooops Ramsdale. 1 minute ago, Saint NL said: Ramsdale summoning his inner Bazunu Icey cool Baz was generally pretty good at that sort of thing. (caveat: with the odd disaster)
trousers Posted Sunday at 11:30 Posted Sunday at 11:30 Whilst Everton will obviously be delighted with a win, I wonder if they'd have preferred a more entertaining / competitive encounter for the last ever game at Goodison...?
Sheaf Saint Posted Sunday at 11:30 Posted Sunday at 11:30 Just now, Saint_clark said: Fernandes should have passed it about 3 seconds earlier. True, but you can't just stand in an offside position and wait for the pass. Schoolboy stuff. 1
SW5 SAINT Posted Sunday at 11:30 Posted Sunday at 11:30 (edited) I wonder if Will Still is in the stands, and what does he make of what he is seeing……? Edited Sunday at 11:31 by SW5 SAINT Edit

AlexLaw76 Posted Sunday at 11:32 Posted Sunday at 11:32 That is why I hate this formation. Too many times CBs are pulled into wide/FB positions, leaving us exposed in the middle of defence 1
Sheaf Saint Posted Sunday at 11:33 Posted Sunday at 11:33 30 minutes in and zero shots on or off target. Amazing. 3

It reminds me of the last Dell game vs Brighton except technically that was a friendly. Everton are playing an XI that would struggle to get 50 points in the Championship so they can focus on enjoying the day.
Holmes_and_Watson Posted Sunday at 11:33 Posted Sunday at 11:33 So useless. We get a break and lose it to the first tackle. Even as we're going forward, I won;t have been the only one waiting for the inevitable as we then stretch the game. Cue counter, and one ruled out for offside as we were cut apart. We are incredibly poor at managing our play. 1

saintant Posted Sunday at 11:34 Posted Sunday at 11:34 This old man walking football will never catch on at this level.
Saint NL Posted Sunday at 11:34 Posted Sunday at 11:34 Absolutely zero threat up front. Another goal disallowed
Saint Fan CaM Posted Sunday at 11:35 Posted Sunday at 11:35 My word is it possible for this team to look so utterly crap? Completely bereft of any idea how to defend or attack. If there’s any skill in the team such as Fernandes, it’s nullified by the shitshow from most of the rest. Having a clueless ‘manager’ doesn’t help. 1

Holmes_and_Watson Posted Sunday at 11:36 Posted Sunday at 11:36 It was a lovely move, even if offside at the end. We were nowhere near any of that, giving them all the space they needed.
Saint NL Posted Sunday at 11:36 Posted Sunday at 11:36 I've seen more of Ally McCoist than I have attacking Saints play 😂
SambaMaverick Posted Sunday at 11:36 Posted Sunday at 11:36 We are a total fucking disgrace League one sides would be giving this a better go Non league sides would be having a go 6

I expect Joe Royle to make a sub appearance (about the same age as Ashley Young 🙂 ) and get 4. Just an end of season/ stadium celebration for them against a team they would have picked for an easy finale. Probably bring Adrian Heath on just to rub it in. He'd probably score too 1 1
Lord Duckhunter Posted Sunday at 11:37 Posted Sunday at 11:37 They’re just going through the motions, trying not to get hurt. Fucking disgrace 4
AlexLaw76 Posted Sunday at 11:37 Posted Sunday at 11:37 Such risk averse shite football 1 more game with Rusk then he will be in the bin 1
Midfield_General Posted Sunday at 11:38 Posted Sunday at 11:38 Good of TNT to provide a nice balanced view on the game with former Everton stalwart Leon Britten as co commentator. ”It’s such a pity that goal was offside” Fuck off
