This has been far better than a lot of other performances. That's not saying much, but to call this the most uninspiring display is nonsense.

Take that blindfold off.

We are missing Charles a lot. The only midfielder we have that looks for a forward pass.

We do, but the partner still needs to inject pace and movement into the team. There is simply no pace to our game, I'm not talking about players being quick - it's just that quick of mind to move and play the ball quick on the run. Jander did that at the start in his first few games, but it's all gone now.

The new manager might not know, not yet anyway. He will soon enough.

Absolutely boring as fook !

4 touches in Qprs box ...players are stuck in Russball mode

It’s not even Russball. At least under Martin a positive was that we got our team up the pitch and played a lot of our football in the other team’s half. We’ve been boxed in, we have no out ball, we have no passage through central midfield, all we have is passing around at the back then punting it long and losing it. Again. And again. Armstrong, why bother? How this new SR clone hasn’t worked out that he can’t play up front on his own is a disgrace.

Pathetic display, utterly pathetic.

The manager will do what he’s told

What’s needed is a Graham Taylor/Clough/Lawrie/Robson type who will ban Rasmus and Spors from the training ground and player areas of the stadium.

You think this has been worse than Preston, Bristol City, Hull, Portsmouth?

Exactly. Martin knew how to attack. This is just Will Still bollocks until we get a proper coach.

Jones, Juric, Rusk, Still, even Martin for a time and now Eckhart all playing 5 at the back...

Can’t agree with you there Benjii, this has been fucking awful. So has the rest of the season but this is every bit as bad.

God we’re feeble and clueless. Terrible set up, Robinson needs to play on the wing, he’s been terrible as AM / CF hybrid.
I have no idea what we’re trying to play.
I hate these players.
Eckert in predictably tight chinos.

You can't play wing backs without er, um ah wing backs. It's a pretty obvious concept. If you don't have proper wingbacks you have regular fullbacks, nobody in midfield and 7 at the back defending including the keeper and a defensive midfielder. When you eventually get the ball there is nowhere to go. It is not rocket science.

Definitely. Fellows can't really defend and Manning doesn't cross the halfway line. One of the many problems that is so too obvious to everyone on earth except the people in the club.

Yep, another player who we've managed to 'de-positize' since the start of the season

This system doesn't help anyone apart from the centre backs.

Two CMs playing quite flat and screening 3 CBs with limited attempts to play between the lines.

Fellows out of position. Robinson out of position. Armstrong running around on his own.

Scienza class, as usual.

Assuming we don’t change shape, I'd get Aribo on soon, if he's fit enough. Robinson has been very sloppy indeed.

Yeah formation is screwing over midfield imo.

It is Russball - teams now know to just push high and aggressively against this style of football and force the team back and outta space.

Martins team last time out in this league, teams generally sat back.

They’re still being asked to play a system/style that they’ve spent the past 18 months proving they’re not capable of.

Possibly worse , not sure what you’re seeing to see an improvement?

We are simply awful aren’t we! We get worse game by game. This team selection / formation offer so little going forward. Manning to Stephens to Wood, to THB to Baz and repeat. Variation every now and then when THB passes to Fellows but only when each is running back towards our goal with a player in his shorts - back towards THB as his only option and repeat…

And even with all those defenders we manage to make QPR look dangerous with a masterclass in ball watching and no one actually getting anywhere near the player with the ball.

I simply don’t understand how the ‘management’ can’t see this!

Despise most of these players.  Think I even prefer the Groves and Speedie Branfoot era team to this mob. Who do they think they are...throw their toys out the pram and down tools to bring down managers but ultimately they're talentless cunts stealing a living.

Fabrice will be along soon to tell you that's all nonsense, and the players are fine.

Awful, so slow every time we have the ball at the back, Cap'n Jack and his security blanket backwards and sideways passes. Every time Downes gets it he goes backwards, there was once Manning actually turned it round the corner to him, he had space to take a touch and move forward and .... He plays it first time back to Stephens. That's why you got benched, you twat.

I don’t necessarily disagree but I’d remember Downes and Smallbone being able to play on the half turn and get us out of situations. Seen nothing akin to that tonight, we’re much worse than that. This kid in the dugout seems like a scared puppet.

SR delivering another new manager splat.

All their favourites back in with Stephens and Baz. Downes in presumably due to Charles' injury. Their (presumably data rather than reality driven) 3 CBs and a lone AA, running like a young kid between older kids at a kick about, trying to get the ball back.

But hey, no target man, no AMC, 2 CMs who don't get forward, Robinson who is very raw, Fellows put of position.

Even then, we did create another sitter. This week, it was Manning's turn to miss it.

Unsurprisingly, we look clueless in attack, and struggle to get any bodies up there. A lack of power, presence and pace lacking as always too.

Grim stuff.

Jander doesn’t seem to be seeing much of the ball - typically because Downes and Manning conspire to pass the ball backwards most of the time.

Not sure where we’ll get a chance to score.

Not entirely true. Jander has taken the ball turned and charged forward with it a couple of times, but Fellows seems to be crap at loosing his marker (in every game) Arma is squeezed between 2 huge CBs and Scienza is in space but miles away

If anyone sums up the current era for the wrong reasons, it's probably him to be honest.

Good lad, but he makes me cringe as much as the football team.
