If Leicester use their Saints loyalty card for the Aribo deal, given previous purchases, that surely gives them enough points to qualify for a get one free?

Aribo is such a strange one, been set to leave several times but no one ever seems prepared to take him on those wages, he also has looked incredibly unfit which is ridiculous, club should have had him in for extra sessions

I was told yesterday that the club had received firm enquiries from three clubs for Armstrong, I think we can be certain he's off just a question of who makes highest bid or if he pushes for a move to a particular destination himself

Boro, Wrexham or Wolves then.

Wolves fans must be fuming thinking Arma or Adams is the answer to their problems 😂

Won’t be this guy then.

Typifies something wrong in the game. Player with potential, makes big money signing for Chelsea, but only plays handful of games before being shunted out on loan, eventually to one of their own clubs (Strasbourg).

The bullshit we are being softened up for is that we don't sell Armstrong in the end and then that is spun that we didn't need to sign a new striker after all because look we kept Armstrong aren't we clever.

Absolutely how I'm seeing it as well, sadly.

We'll see...but I've seen this movie a thousand times at this club.

Ademola Lookman is closing in on a move to Atletico Madrid.

The final details of a deal to sign him from Atalanta are being sorted and he is waiting to travel for a medical.

A fee of £30m (€35m) plus £4.3m (€5m) in add-ons has been agreed in principle between the clubs.

This guy is another of those footballing transfer anomalies, like Joao Felix, Morta etc. They keep getting moves to big clubs for huge dollar every time, yet never really do anything, then warrant another huge transfer fee. Lookman has been a bit part at Atalanta this season.

The rumour is that Doris is holding out for a deadline day move to Bistro FC.

Aahh Bistro - she must want to jump on the gravy train.

Read something yesterday suggesting that Armstrong is one of the bad eggs in the changing room.  I hope he goes and we replace him.

Wolves are getting £43m+5m for Strand Larsen from Palace, apparently.

I wonder if they will stump up the £15m we supposedly want?

It’s either Bistro FC or Stock City.

I get we want to extract maximum value but there is such a thing as playing too hard ball over Armstrong.

I for one never want to see him easily knocked off the ball or lashing one from an impossible angle again in a Saints shirt.

Think Fofana has had more than enough chances to prove his worth elsewhere in fairness. Including Goztepe.

Not sure thats fair about Lookman. Think he fell out with Juric possibly but his record for Atalanta has been very good.

Crazy money for someone who has only scored once this season.

£43m coming in and one day left of the transfer window to find a replacement striker.

Wolves will be that beautiful combination of flush and desperate.

We should absolutely take them to the cleaners, it's not like they've got any options.

£20m for Armstrong or no deal and you can try and stay in the Prem relying on Tolu Arokodare and Hwang Hee Chan.

Wolves selling Strand Larsen for big money and replacing him with Armstrong for a fraction of the fee is like us selling Ings and replacing him with Armstrong.

A hat trick to win the Europa League definitely seems like something to most people I'd say...?

If they try and bundle in any add-ons for 'surviving relegation', then we've had our pants pulled down.

Or buying Kerry Dixon with your Shearer fee.

I think you are over estimating how much the club care what we think of transfer windows

Should've been sold the summer we got promoted, leaving on a high when his stock was at its highest, rather than being rewarded with a new contract. We know Armstrong will never be a Premier League striker, we have to look for better and there is better out there. The issue lies with can SR identify it? As due to his goal output we can't get this one wrong. We definitely can't go for another hopeful punt here.

Knowing Wolves are getting near £50 mill and we’re going to accept less than £10 mill for Armstrong? Seems a bit weird and thought we’d sell him for a bit more

Wolves are preparing for life in our division.

Yeah, I mean it's obvious this is their plan, he's had little to no impact in the PL ever. I'd say around £10 mill is fair enough for both sides, just the question as always is whether we replace him with anyone decent or Downs MK2...

Can't see us selling him

plus 10M seems very light for a January premium for 3rd top scorer in the league

Several factors at play, game of poker, is Armstrong keen on one particular club, are we hoping between the three clubs will one blink first and offer what we want or outbid each other as deadline approaches, and does our useless recruitment department actually have the ability to persuade a decent replacement to join us on loan

Armstrong and Archer haven't done much but they're too good to just let go for minimal fees

The article words it as "£2m of achievable add-ons".

Wolves staying up isn't really achievable. They will be a Championship club next season. So the £2m will probably be for appearances & goals. Both of which are achievable for him in the Championship.

For forwards if Arma is a sale we need to buy a replacement of Archer is a loan I’ll happily take a loan in too.

we need 3 forwards though, another taller guy and maybe someone who offers something different.

if we only get one in thst it’s a very dangerous game, Stewart can’t play every game and the youngster yesterday looked a bit lost and not ready for first team.
