Saint Fan CaM Posted yesterday at 13:26 Posted yesterday at 13:26 19 league games unbeaten - wow, just wow! 11
CB Fry Posted yesterday at 13:27 Posted yesterday at 13:27 How many long term injuries did we finish up with in the end? 4
davefizzy14 Posted yesterday at 13:27 Posted yesterday at 13:27 Get in! We got fourth 😊 home second leg 😊 1
badgerx16 Posted yesterday at 13:27 Posted yesterday at 13:27 Lolz at Wrexham. No Hollywood ending. 1 3
Saint Pete Posted yesterday at 13:28 Posted yesterday at 13:28 Excellent, job done today and no smiles from Tonda as onto the next one! 2
Jack Posted yesterday at 13:28 Posted yesterday at 13:28 Fantastic effort. Away game first against a stuttering Boro. Big away noise on Saturday lunchtime then Tuesday night at ours. 1
James G Posted yesterday at 13:29 Posted yesterday at 13:29 Oh well, good victory. If we'd won all our games we still wouldn't have finished second, so all in all, what an effort to get into the playoffs 1 1 1

You need to -1 for Ipswich 1
Saint NL Posted yesterday at 13:30 Posted yesterday at 13:30 Just saw that Ipswich have finished second in three of the last four seasons. The other season they finished second bottom 😂
Toadhall Saint Posted yesterday at 13:30 Posted yesterday at 13:30 Job done and on to the next - well done Saints 2
obelisk Posted yesterday at 13:30 Posted yesterday at 13:30 Would have been very interesting if we'd managed to hold on in for a win in those last 2 home games. Have to be happy with 4th after that dreadful start to the season though. 1

Edmonton Saint Posted yesterday at 13:32 Posted yesterday at 13:32 Been waiting to finalize my schedule at work, just to confirm we are playing Saturday next week again?
Willo of Whiteley Posted yesterday at 13:34 Posted yesterday at 13:34 We all would’ve taken fourth when Tonda took over 😉 6

So we would have finished second without those two draws.

Ultimately I think the extra Cup games did for our chances of 2nd, but it's been an unbelievable effort and I wouldn't have wanted it any different for our performances against Arsenal and City at Wembley. 👏 5

They actually seem a fairly well adjusted, grounded bunch but thankful it’ll save any further ejaculatory treatment from Sky on live coverage of their games. It was almost vomit inducing in the away game a few weeks ago. 2

StrangelyBrown Posted yesterday at 13:38 Posted yesterday at 13:38 2 hours ago, Sheaf Saint said: I'm not convinced by the defensive side of his game TBH. He's very sloppy in possession sometimes, and his tackling ability ain't all that. I thought Shea did well at right back today and then was poor when he switched into the middle. We really need to keep him away from the middle of the pitch - we instantly surrendered control of the game as soon as he went there.
Saint Gifford Posted yesterday at 13:38 Posted yesterday at 13:38 City draw was the one. But take the play offs all day long. I’m guessing the bookies will have a Saints v Millwall final. That’s a game.

Lighthouse Posted yesterday at 13:51 Posted yesterday at 13:51 So basically we could have beaten Ipswich 6-0 in midweek, won nine of our last ten league games and still finished fourth. Second was never on, even with multiple other results going our way too. 2 3
Dr Who? Posted yesterday at 13:54 Posted yesterday at 13:54 Yay lunch time at Boro next Saturday… perfect!👌

SaintBobby Posted yesterday at 14:02 Posted yesterday at 14:02 Slightly scrappy win today, but main thing was to win and avoid knocks and injuries. Onwards.

Great minds here 😉

Remember that the 7 games after Tonda was made permanent, including the next game after Boro, defeat at home to Hull, were 3 draws and 4 defeats. That followed his stint as interrm, 6 wins and 1 defeat. So up to Hull Tonda's record in the league was P 14, W 6, D 3, L 5. Edited yesterday at 14:31 by badgerx16

Played: 33 | Won: 20 | Drawn: 8 | Lost: 5 GF: 69 | GA: 37 | GD: +32 | PPG: 2.06 Based on this if he'd been in charge from the start of the season, that is a points total of 94.76 Essentially matching the champions Coventry. 3
